Germans & US & Russians
fighting all to take points

Sounds like even more annoying version of conquest, lol.
But If I wouldn’t be forced to play it, I have nothing against it.

I understand the appeal, but when did this happen in ww2?

I understand the appeal but must we respect the history totaly ?

Yes, it is a WW2 game. Some stretching is required to make an interesting game (like experimental weapons) but making up nonsense is stretching it a bit too far.
For a battle along your idea, we could have the battle of Castle Itter, where Germans and Americans fought Nazis.

why nonsense ?

We are in game to remake history no ?
Did US & URSS fight together in ww2 in a battle ?

HA brigade assemble.

No not really.
They were technically allies, but they never fought on the same fronts in WW2. The US fought in the Pacific and the Western front and the USSR was confined to the Eastern front, until the end of the war when they fought Japan for a month, but even then the USSR and the US never combined forces like the US and UK.

You speak of it ?

no. i am talking about historically accurate purists on forum.

I think enlisted is not a ww2 simulator or they forget spying /naval fighting/ local resistance

Imagine US and Russians figthing can give a new campaign /new maps/new strategy for premiums witch boring
3 teams on fighting on new maps will create new game & money for gaijin for at least 2 years

Yeah but that’s cold war stuff, not WW2. The Enlisted experience is about a WW2 battle that you take place in, where controlling a squad. Yes you can add Russians fighting US but it would have to be in a different time setting. Or even adding it as a mod for the game.
The point of the game is to fight in a WW2 battle with the forces that were there, which is what draws most of the players in. Adding more fictional things to the game would change the dynamics. Many of the players who got the game wanted a WW2 game not a COD match. Eventually when they fully release or fix the game, yes adding more things like that would be great, but not now.

I watched Netflix’s documentary Queen Cleopatra. And that’s not how history works, I learned.
The most beautiful thing on history is that everybody can imagine/interpret it in their own way. :relieved:

So I don’t care what they did tell you in school. Three sided battles between US/Third Reich/USSR were a thing.
Jk obv

i am thinking of pitching a ww2 movie with black hitler to netflix. what is there not to like. maybe kanye as lead actor?

I understand what you are saying, but the US and the Russians never fought against each other or against each other during WW2.
Hopefully they will soon add more partisan forces (like Free French), however things like naval combat and spies would be hard to implement in game, as the game is based around infantry (not naval although they could add a separate campaign for naval and tanks), and spies were not frontline fighters.

Maybe they could add a more arcade mode in the future (like in warthunder where anything can fight anything) but they would have to allow people to choose what gamemodes they would like to play, and what campaigns.

WW2 spies were for sabotage and getting information. Sabotage could be added to the game but that would require lots of new mechanics that I doubt the devs would add.

at the beginning the subject was a new campaign idea
I feel you shocked. But the thing is to be liked by many to make money

And its a game just a game nothing else

Many must like before devs ear it so dont worry russsians dont will be in US tomorow

Let beging with humans first

I think this is a great idea and would work really well on the conquest maps. Many people don’t like the conquest maps; however, I am one of the few who do enjoy them—I just wish they would last longer.

For those who are constantly arguing for historical accuracy (HA), you need to consider this: For the most part, video games are not vessels of (or for) historical accuracy, the teaching of history, or anything else based in reality. Furthermore, Enlisted is NOT a World War 2 video game; it is a World War 2 “like” video game. Some elements of the game are accurate, some are not. When designing a video game, developers also need to consider whether or not specific design features are interesting, challenging, fun, unique, and (unfortunately) profitable, etc.

When people argue for 100% historical accuracy in a video game, what you are doing is tying the hands of developers to create the game in the first place. It’s much too limiting. Furthermore, it’s not the proper platform to ask for such things. If you want historical accuracy, take a history class; unfortunately, you probably won’t even find it there since the “accuracy of history” doesn’t actually exist anywhere because it all depends on who’s telling the story—which is usually the victors.

So please, stop asking for your version of HA—whether it’s for a weapon, a vehicle, or the story itself… Because what you’re asking for is not historical accuracy, but factual accuracy. For example, “Was a particular weapon (say the M1 Garand) actually use in World War 2?” If it was, then it’s factually accurate. Is it also factually accurate—or historically accurate—that Russia was an ally with the United States during WWII? That’s where things become gray. They may have fought the same enemy (Germany), but does that mean they were actually Allies? You decide. Then I guarantee you that many people will disagree with your assessment, which will make it virtually impossible to decide whether or not it is historically accurate.

At any rate, if the developers can introduce something into the game to make it more fun, challenging, or add something unique to experience… Then I’m all for it. Do you remember the “mech event?” I think THAT event would fall into all of these categories, and many “HA” players probably enjoyed it. So why not add this new feature with three different countries battling on the same map? I guarantee you it will add a whole new dimension to the game. Will some people dislike it? Of course. But overall, I think it would be well accepted. For those who dislike it, then simply don’t play it.

For the most part, I think video game developers do a pretty good job of factually representing weapons, vehicles, etc. in period games. Other elements must also be added for obvious reasons. Let’s add this new idea to the Enlisted line up. Remember, it’s just a game—and people play for many different reasons (not just historical accuracy).
