There’s no new faction planned. And that’s completely reasonable decision.
We have the four main players in the war already represented. All others can be represented as minor factions. What we can hope for is better control over whether troops are a particular nationality and maybe some decent Event squads to represent them better.

New factions won’t get added while we are still waiting for necessary and simple subfaction improvement like being able to recruit any nationality or change squad nationality.
New nations probably won’t get added to the game any time soon.

Name me an infantry battle in Britain during WW2.
Britain fought in North Africa, then took part in the landings in Italy, helped defend France in 1940, took part in the Normandy landings and then liberated France. Great Britain fought mainly against the Americans.

Britain fought the Americans in the Battle of Tunisia, in the fighting in Italy, and in the Normandy landings.
