M1919a4 with bail and 75 round belt. 550 as starting rpm but the carry handle would take away from the ability to aim.

sorry but you need to be prone to fire the M1919A4, I think you may have wanted to say A6 instead which could be fired on the move.

Another issue is the lack of 75 round belts.
In my opinion it would be better to downtier M1919A6 as it is, its 5.5s reload time is bad enough to justify the long 100 rounds belt even on BR4.

Im not sure about downtiering Johnson LMG though, maybe a reload buff would be better for it. (also why didnt DF give it a 25 round mag?)

There was a carry handle for it though it wasn’t typically used for the a4
Because the Johnson machine gun didn’t have 25-round magazines, only 20-round ones. The extra 5 rounds have to be loaded separately into the magazine well once the magazine is inserted into the weapon, which is a bit problematic to implement in the game’s reality.
Also, early versions had the ability to attach a bayonet.

Apparently there are some stories of troops actually grabbing M1919s off their tripod and using them. So it’s good in my book!
The A4 was the most common variant and it adds variety in our US MG choices
We’re shoulder firing MG 42s so I think this one passes

Yeah especially the marines doing it as a means of waging jungle warfare. Hopefully world at war had it right as far as wrapping ghouls and bandages around the barrel to protect their hand from the heat that comes off it while firing
