New bot commands

player now has the ability to set basic formation commands (wide, standard, close formation) but even at “wide”, one bomb / dynamite pack / rambo with a knife can wipe out all of my squad, even if i were able to order bots to keep a bigger distance, that would be a slaughter, because bots seem not to take cover at time / run around

so, my suggestion is to giver new bot commands such as “take cover”, “hold/secure the position”, order to take position in a house / trench / bunker, hide behind bushes - ability to tell your soldiers to lie down / run / standard would be also fantastic, as it offers even more flexibility

i also noticed that bots ussualy pick one position to attack and all advance to same point, might be good to be able to tell them to advance in line or just confront the enemy from defensive positions until further orders are given

they need change how they behave inside building and dont chicken out when their path is blocked.

I just would like to say, the “rambo with a knife” thing is like 30% AI problem and 70% melee problem… Need some kind of kill animation that isn’t instant

At least they shoot back now, they’re getting better all the time!

getting better?
for me they are worse now.

often not following a simple attack point a/b/c order.
runs around like chicken
and in 1 building / this long wood farm building was 1 enemie in the middle of the room and my 6 bots didnt see him and runs around him + died.

before the update they was way better then now.

so more commands yes & give us the old bots back pls.

then knifes would be even more useless than they are now

i dont think nerfing knifes is a good idea

You think knives are useless? Have you tried them? You can samurai an entire squad in seconds

I didn’t think about the downsides as much, just noticed they shoot back more (a month or two ago, they wouldn’t even fire back) - But I also noticed that they ignore orders a lot more, so that’s not good. I would prefer bots that both follow orders and fire on the enemy heh
