well that makes two of us. getting tempted on something else.
That depends. Not finishing bp doesnât mean not doing bp at all. I donât see most players reaching full 75 levels but 40-50 levels on average is much more realistic. Plus, you do get some good stuffs and partial refund up to that point, so it still has good value. Donât act as if enlisted is the only game people play.
Also, I bet this seasonâs bp has the lowest completion rate in recent history because doing zombie event couldnât contribute to normal bp.
Donât act like everyone has barely any time to play like you. You donât even need much day to complete the battle pass. Those casual player who barely plays most likely wonât buy the battle pass at the first place.
It just a win for the whale with the removal of the F2P gold
yea and there seem to be less soldier lvl up card but tbh i never count those so i could be wrong
I have completed every single bp and major events since the launch of the game. The only collectable event item I am missing is twitchdrop bt7, so you are targeting the wrong person. I simply donât want to spend more time on this game than necessary. Well, there are so many games out there. Good that I no longer do warthunder bp, otherwise that will be too much time taken away by gaijin.
You will be surprised that people are willing to spend few bucks for bp in a freeoplay game. I know a few who will come back to play for a few days with bp purchased but will drop again for other things.
im sure that will go down well
Retaining gold order tickets under the new format just wonât make sense going forward.
Per your proposal, if the current month offers a weapon a gamer does not want, they just hoard 4 tickets. Next month has nothing good? 4 more hoarded. And finally a good month? The 4 gained are spent on the desired 4, still leaving a surplus. Unless more than 1 unique weapon per month were added or more than 4 are made available for purchase, there will be no possible way to use surplus tickets. Even if old gold order weapons are added and the store remains, at some point a surplus will be achieved. Even under the current or soon to be old format, many players have achieved this surplus.
Simply put, itâs just bad math. Having a surplus of a premium ticket with nothing to use it is just poor optimization. Under the new format, this imbalance will be remedied albeit at the loss of choice. And in actuality, the only real choice we had was rejection. The good weapons are always picked leaving us with a GO store full of unwanted weapons.
The loss of this choice, the store and the tickets will be no real loss.
but surplus doesnt matter in anyway.
its the players choice to hoard itâŚ
It doesnt affect the developers because the 2 most important functions are being filledâŚto have a surplus in the first place, The player is playing AND the player is buyingâŚwhat he does with those cards is irrelevant to âeveryone elseâ. (its not like them sitting on stock is raising prices for anyoneâŚit does nothing)
The price has already been paid
Also there is no way the majority of players are in a position to hoardâŚso you are robbing the majority of âchoiceâ just to slap the few on the wrist.
theres no loss to keeping it, there is to removing it, yet here we areâŚ
also this is ALWAYS badâŚthe loss of choice
In any case, hoarding will happen. Now instead of unusable tickets, it is unwanted weapons.
And it kind of does honestly. More pressure to produce more things to spend the tickets on. As well it being tangible evidence of how poorly optimized a certain aspect of your game is. Same thing can be said of all those green orders that people want to be able to sell for silver. If that were to be the case one day, (as it should) that could mean GO tickets would have to be sold back for gold. And Gaijin clearly does not want to give away gold.
Choice in this case is a facade. Even a noob will quickly realize there are only a few good choices in the store. After the good are chosen, the store becomes the island of misfit weapons. Itâs just stuff no one wants so who cares. And itâs not about slapping anyone on the wrist. Itâs about better optimization.
All weâve really lost is the ability to say, âI donât want thatâ.
agree to disagree on the rest but (its the stored research XP all over again)
good choices for noobs, arent the same as good choices for collectors, faction mains, subfactions enjoyers, good players that dont need krutch meta weapons or players that just want some variety in their loadouts. etc etc
âŚand to get anything from past BP in the store you didnt have enough to get. you just have to hope that they throw it in some future BP and that you are available when and âIFâ it happens
Well at least they are being consistent. With events and some premiums, what was in the past stays in the past. Loot boxes will be even more lucrative in the future.
Honestly hope they find a way to faze out all those annoying green orders.
Anyways, weâll be alright with this change. Having no choices can suck but sometimes having many choices leaves us with little choice.
Like If I donât like this months GO, iâll just skip it and wonât play everyday.
But in old BP, iâll play every season cause gold order is hoardable.
The new BP bind playersâ playing motivation to the BPâs meta level of the month.
So they weather they keep adding meta stuff to keep player playing, or less player will play in that month.
You are not even answering the stuff you quote.
Simply put, you canât do math.
Because you only take into account a paying player who plays the game continuously without taking longer breaks from the game.
Doesnât make any sense whatsoever. I could just buy past BP stuff for gold.
Now I wonât be able to. I didnât have to rely on golden orders at all.
I had all the choice. Now I donât have any choice. I canât miss out on any battle pass. And I canât get the content retrospectively. All I can do is rely on loot boxes and future events (if I will miss out on something because of irl reasons, 1 month is definitely not a long time period), lol.
Nah, I answered how new BP will affect BP sells and player play time clearly.
One of the game operating companyâs goals is to improve playersâ play time, and making player participate BP is a way to maintain it.
this is the part that gets me. how they missed this with the new BP designâŚshooting themselves in the foot
For me, of the 3 announced BP only 1 is interesting so far.
This right here!
I expressed much the same with a comment on the news topic and I really do think itâs in everyoneâs best interest to just keep the gold orders and the shop.
They could simply just format it as 1 free gun from the BP with 3 gold orders you can earn. Then players have the choice to grab the remaining 3 guns or grab any 3 that you want ! Or they could give 4 gold orders instead whatever works best.
Also importantly for the F2P players we need to encourage the Devs to add the free 100 gold that can be earnt back into the pass. Then I think itâs a fine improvement that allows players to get rewards sooner and still allows Dark Flow/Gaijin to receive revenue via selling the initial cost of the BP much like before.
According to you the new bp is worse at improving playerâs play time since they can skip it if they donât like it. Then it is not a potential of the new bp.
Moreover, you are not even talking about the same thing as I. I am talking about the modified version of BP that is suggested by OP.
Hey now you can save some money.
Not saying the change is necessarily better, itâs just more consistent with every other part of the game. Yeah obviously itâll suck if we miss something good. But I figure you to be a fan of the consequence.
As I mentioned, ending up with an excess of gold orders is somewhat of an issue and it really highlights the poor offerings the store has. Now it will be a non issue. Plus with tank camouflage now being a thing, these GO tanks are much less appealing. If aircraft get that treatment the stores appeal will diminish further. On top of that, the gold orders were a good way of saving silver from upgrading a vehicle. Now itâs much cheaper so that perk is not nearly as valuable.
The GO store kinda sucks. Is it worth saving? I guess the devs do not think so.
Anyways, I have digressed enough. But hey youâve mentioned how much you like âexclusivityâ. Now weâll get much more of that, unfortunately.
