Gold order troops are supposed to be unique looking, in fact they should look better than usual troops.
I’m levelling up my Ass(aulter) III squad on Normandy, they look great with new bushes on helmets, the life jackets and new tunics, so then I add Walter Ehmers to my squad, he carries nothing, he wears Tan jacket and plain helmet, totally contrasting with my look for my squad.
Not to mention it took a fair bit of silver for the random appearance to be what I liked for my Assaulter squad in the first place. (Sometimes it seems to reset too)
Please fix Gold order or at least update their appearance to better uniforms like the default Troops on Normandy.

If I remember correctly, try replacing him, leaving the squad menu (So his temporary replacement has his uniform loaded for the squad), and then putting him back in. I do this sometimes to shuffle cosmetics on my squad members because as far as I know, there is a small pool for each squad, and as long as they are in it, they should be able to have the same uniform. (Think in Moscow, adding a Soviet sniper to an engineering squad gives him their uniform, not the snow-white sniper camo.)
Yes that’s what I usually do, but generally buy 4 -6 soldiers then one of them looks right has the right new allied uniform, sometimes I’m unlucky it resets… sometimes it’s fine, it’s only an issue when expanding my squad, takes about 10-20 Silver for that new MG, or AT or Engi to match at final rank.
This doesn’t work however for Gold Order Troops, they have that horrible tan jacket and as you can see look really out of place.
