I find it rather difficult to control the plane while using the tailgunner so I will fail at this challenge.

Tilt your plane and turn accordingly at low speeds. Do exactly as the instructors for the AC-130 teach for starting their fire mission.

Haha, this is the first thing I tried since the update
I can stabilize the circle for almost a minute using SBD
However, due to the deflection of the bullet, it is difficult to hit the enemy in actual combat.
I’ve only killed/knocked down 4 enemies in a single circle at most and was immediately retaliated by AA

Well done. Try using the AP-1 and see if the .50 cal does better.
