New 15v15 gamemode, with resources suggestion

Add a new gamemode that could somewhat replace Invasion. You could name it something like “War”

It would be 15v15 rather than 10v10.

There would be 2 objectives, each side holds one, so you have to both attack and defend. This might suit the game more, because to be honest a lot of people hate defending, rightfully so, other people love defending again rightfully so. This game mode would allow to both defend and attack.

If you loose a point, the enemy gets your point, and you get a new point further down. Aka you fall back. You can retake the point you lost to move the attackers back.

Its very similar to HnG assault, or HLLs warfare.

The gray zone would be very forgiving, meaning that you can do wide flanks, take positions further up the map, do more flanking rallies, and just move around more freely. Also you wouldnt be able to effectively gray zone camp so thats a big +

Resources:

Each team has a set amount of resources. Meaning this much infantry, tanks, planes, other vehicles (Motorcycles, future maybe halftracks).

Depleting branches of these resources would mean that that side cannot spawn anymore tanks, planes, other vehicles or infantry.

The resources could be actually well balanced, giving the weaker side more, the stronger less. Such as give more planes and tanks to moscow axis, and less tanks for allies.

Vehicle resources would be split into:

Tanks

  1. Heavy tanks (Tiger, IS)

  2. Tank destroyers (StugIIIG, SU85)

  3. Medium tanks (T-34, PZIII)

  4. Light tanks (PZII, BT7)

You would have more light tanks than mediums, more mediums than heavys and tank destroyers.

Planes

  1. Light attacker planes (IL2, JU87, BF110, P47)

2.Fighter planes (BF109, YAK1, P51)

  1. Heavy attacker planes (SB2M, JU188, A-20)

Other vehicles:

  1. Motorcycles

  2. Halftracks (Sdkfz251, M3)

  3. IFVs (BA64, Sdkfz222)

  4. SPAAs (Ostwind, Wimberwild)

  5. SPGs (Sturmpanzer, Flak 88)

You would have the most motorcycles, than halftracks, than IFVs than SPAA, and lastly SPGs.

I will give you an example in Moscow of a “War” match. Giving advantages to the historical side in resources.

Red is Soviets, Blue is Germans.

Germany has:
2000 infantry
40 tanks: - 0 Heavy tanks, 20 medium tanks, 15 light tanks, 5 Tank destroyers.
20 planes - 10 Light attacker planes, 7 fighter planes, 3 heavy attacker planes
50 other vehicles - 15 Motorcycles, 15 Halftracks, 10 IFVs, 5 SPAA, 5 SPGs.

Soviets have
1750 infantry
30 tanks - 5 heavy tanks (KVs), 10 medium tanks, 12 light tanks, 3 tank destroyers.
25 planes - 10 light attacker planes, 12 fighter planes, 3 heavy attacker planes
40 Other vehicles - 10 Motorcycles, 5 halftracks, 15 IFVs, 5 SPAA, 5 SPGs

This of course balances out the insane amount of better weapons the soviets have such as PPDs, AVS, and better tanks such as T-34s, KVs.

Of course this mode would only work if the developers decided to act for once. If you ever read this heres a little TLDR of what to do:

Stalingrad buff to all BAs

Limit SFs to a certain class like assaulter, or make a new auto rifleman class

Fix suicide bombing, by not giving kills if you died before bombs exploded

Fix bunnyhopping

Fix plane models

Fix tank models

Dont allow to bring more than 1 of each type of squad, for example dont allow to bring 3 assaulter, gunner and so on squads

Doing this will make a much better and more enjoyable game.

A resource shared between all players isn’t a good idea, a better solution to the so called spams is to limit the number of times a single player can spawn his vehicle/plane.

Way more simple and pratical than an while interesting quite work intensive to the devs new gamemode that may still come with the same spam issue but worse because the spammer now can activelly hurt it’s own team by wasting resources on purpose.

And i am glad you wrote that.

It makes every class, playstyle viable. Like take this example:

Annoyed with tanks? Just pop off, play as a tank hunter build AT guns to snipe them, set up AT mines to diminish their numbers to make your life easier once they run out of tanks.

Same can be said about planes.

Overall I vote yes but I’d change shared vehicle spawns to personal limit as many players don’t have a single braincell.

Or even better would be my old “vehicle cost points” idea.

Agreeing with what the other commenter said, spammers aren’t a issue only to the other team, the guy that keeps suiciding his infantry squads to rotationate and spawn his vehicle again is a issue to his own team (even for defenders as said guy will most probably deliver the defenders rally point position being careless). Or this streamer i faced another day on the quarry that rotated 3 planes (i didn’t even knew to that day that it was possible having more than two) and wasn’t even capable of hitting his bombing runs leaving our team tanks free for camping while maybe other more skilled pilot couldn’t spawn his plane bacause it was always occupied. Or the several times i see a the same players spawning starter tanks while a enemy high level tank keep farming them and i cannot spawn mine to quickly get rid of it.

tl/dr spammer already hurt their own team, shared resources woudn’t solve it for complete, they will continue spamming until all are wasted, then is solved for the enemy team, but his team is tottaly fucked because of it.

A player specific resource is what i think would be the definitive answer to the spamming issue.

this should be first introduced as a mod, but personally i dont like the changes. if there are bots, squad with more human players will destroy enemy vehicle pool at beginning.

also there is a question how premium players with their extra vehicle slots will affect changes. it could be possible that premium players just waste shared vehicle pool without giving chance to other players.

overall i am for bigger maps and more players, but these changes are questionable.

Then make a seprate que for this mode.

I would wait up to 10min for a good full game. Thats how long you wait in HLL.

In reality it would be faster. Maybe que for 3 min for a game that might last around 50min seems good to me

Premiums vehicles are affected equally.

Plenty of opportunities for you to use your vehicles.

how many vehicles can be deployed simultaneously? 2, 3, 15? and you will have problem with either f2p or with premium players depending on the number. cause premium players can waste vehicle spawning pool 2-3+ times faster than f2p. but then you can limit them with personal vehicle spawning pool, but then premium players will be pissed cause they cant play like they could play in original mode.

and this will go like lone fighter. they will relegate it to custom and that is that. i wouldnt mind waiting longer times for full human lobby, but they wont do that even now on 10v10. what makes you think that they will make new game mode, make another queue (splitting playerbase even further) and have them wait even longer for game to populate.

best thing you can hope for is that they do limited time event with something similar. for now this is far too early draft to resolve every issue that may come out in dev period.

If only we had 10 Vs 10 real players in a match…

This post, every other post i have made, countless posts others have made asking to fix the game, basically giving the devs a cheat spread sheet on what to do, how to make the game successful. But they dont take that route, they take the route of making the game more shit.

These posts are dreams, that will never be realized.

yeah i know those dreams… i would have like if this game was more like planetside 2, where you can take the frontline you want, go to map you want and play big/small battles per your choice. if there are too many players on one side then you need to choose either other side, or go to other frontline.

Ah, we have an optimist here. Haven’t seen one in a long time, not with an actual suggestion for improvement anyway.

You could make it 100 vs 100 and it’s still going to end up being something around 7 vs 0 within the current system. The only difference compared to what we have now would be even more dumb and pointless filler. This game needs so many fundamental changes that it’s futile to suggest anything.

Why would they do that now all of a sudden? Furthermore, why would you even think they may do that?

They wouldnt.

This is my alt acc, i have been on forums since like May of last year. Stuff that was broken back then is still broken. Even though there were countless suggestions they just dont use them, or they dont want to use them.

Thats my point. They will never do that, and i dont know why. It doesnt make sense, not even from a business standpoint. If the game is broken af and the major update you release, the highlight and the main thing added are 3 premium 60 euro premium squads. Its not a good look

Like if all my issues with the game would be resolved and it would go back to the quality of early OBT than i would happily spend some money.

Now i dont because of principle. Dont need to give them more money since they dont fix the game, and at this point its just a cash cow
