Netcode needs to be fixed

As you can see in the video, hit judgment is preceded by tracer bullets due to unstable netcode. Bullets die before they appear.

4.85s hit judgment
4.95s tracer bullet

According to medical study, the fastest rate at which the humand appear to be abblr to process visual incoming stimulus is about 13ms.
Considering the size of the humain head and the magbificent of the scope, we can deduce that the shoot was approximatly at 113m.
Considering the speed of light of 299 792 458m/s in the void.
And according to general relativity and the speed of light in the air and in the glassthe muzzme flash is visible at t0= 0.0000001006s.

The muzzle velocity of the bullet is 760m/s.
We can conclude that when the bullet was only at 9.88m away from the muzzle at the time the information was processed by the perfect trained eye.

However if we consider that the visual stimulus is not ruled as reflex stimulus, for the brain has to process the information. We can use the reaction time.
In avrage a driver reaction time to a visual stimulus is 500ms.

By this reaction time the bullet would have travel 360m.

To conclude, you will be dead before even even the light stimulus has been analysed by your brain.

it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

It’s an independant study, I have not been paid by DF.
I wish tho…

it is 245m

And the problem here is that the bullets are already dead before they arrive. You can realize it by turning the frame one by one. It’s not about reaction speed.

I know I was just joking.

Or am I?!

Hey… 245m is still under the 360m.
So I’m just stupid, not wrong.

And the difference is 115m. Which represent about 150ms. It’s very close to difference of 100ms between 4.85s hit judgment and 4.95s tracer bullet.

Netcode in this really bad. But at least it doesn’t feel that way behind the mass character.

when discussing netcode please “ctrl + shift + n” in the future so we can see the connection status.
