Most balance discussions about fire arms are about SMGs - specifically because of combat ranges usually being between 10 - 30 meters, map design and too close rallies is what crates the ever present SMG meta.
rallies should be moved further back - 75 meters, possibly even 100 meters from the objective.
The hole game is build around the tactical placement of rallies. Good hteams build lots of them and weak teams dont. If two good teams meet that is fun, because you have to dislodge the others position to take the point. Its central to any tactics in the game.
Reducing the effectiveness of the rallies will only decrease the tactical nature of the game.
The game is not tactical at all lol, specially with APCs being able to spawn even if enemies are nearby while also having such a shitty hitbox, currently the team that runs faster into the enemy grayzone and prevent the enemy team from leaving the spawn is the team that gets to win, that’s the first condition, while it can only be achieved if the team has rallies it is just a matter of having them or not, not about placing them tactically, you just have them or you don’t it is not as if it was really complicated to find a cheesy corner to build one, guerrillas endorse this shit even more killing tanks on their spawns and also planes.
I think it’s actually 50m from the edge, as some Japanese maps you can’t spawn closer than 80m to the objective, yet you only have to run roughly 50m before you’re inside it.
Besides, I don’t think it needs changing because most players will destroy a rally if it’s too close.
Personally I’d just block rallies if enemy is within lets say 20m meters from them. This way you can’t spawn right on top of the enemy but also you don’t need to run through 20m of empty land. Seems to be a good middle ground.
Only happens when both sides are playing well and actually making rallies!!

It seems difficult for you to find such a large APC or a rally point of about 50m.Or is it that there were very few APCs destroyed by the plane on the way? Closer=easier to detect, there is no imbalance.
Im not saying the game is tactical as a hole, i am just stating the fact that this aspect has a tactical nature. The precise placement does not matter I agree there, but one stil has to dislodge the others from their position. Now this could be improved, I agree for instance that the APC’s can be a weird and glitchy. But how would nerfing rallies and APC’s make this better?
I honestly dont see how increasing the distance to place the rally points relative to the objective would make the game some how less tactical, it would be pretty much the same, but… les closer to the objective I guess.
Because the importance of rallies would overal decrease aince they are closer to the larger spawn points.
Thus the importance of the slight tactical aspect of the game is deemphasised
That doesn’t make sense considering some Pacific maps with huge objective locations don’t allow you build unless you’re like 80m from the objective. You’d expect that the bigger an objective is the closer it’d let you build a rally, not smaller. Considering that a bigger objective requires you to build further away, that only makes sense if the distance is calculated from the edges of the objective.
