Nerf flamethrowers by

Please nerf flamethrowers by making it possible only to walk when equipped with them. Running flamethrower users on objective are using using very scummy tactics by appearing out of nowhere , running around, creating chaos and taking almost 0 fire damage to themselves. This is too OP weapon and are being exploited too much, could cost opposing team objective. Needless to say that 0 skills are needed to use it this way.

The only thing from flamethrowers need be changed is the flame wo no clip the wall and kill you, after that is a pure cqc weapon

Yes, that needs to be fixed as well. Even if cqc, running flamethrower noobz are the most annoying players right now. It’s so unrealistic looking also when they run and spray, ruins game atmosphere so much. This would look so much better if they walked the same speed as Anti Tank rifle users. Then they have to put it more brain using throwers instead of just rushing into objective.

No need. Already the slowest class around. It’s true they are powerful, but smart players prioritize them as targets too.

I admit that I have huge issues with flamethrowers lately. Ain’t the player using them, moreover the broken damage model and AI.
I can’t stand it anymore that i get roasted while being in a bunker or structure. Walls need to protect. Big obstacles as tank wrecks should protect, instead, flames just go through. Absolutely stunning.
And even if you try to protect some of your bots, they just simply stay in the flames trying to heal themselves not knowing that they are doomed.
Another thing I absolutely think is stupid:
Flame radius!
Some of those flames are burning in the air, thus making it impossible to move somewhere. You literally get burned entirely just by touching it with your little finger.
Flamethrowers are pure cancer for the moment. Just my opinion though.

I think the flamethrowers are great :partying_face: Personally I`d rather see the spamming planes gone.

A meta flamethrower setup is going to include fast weapon swap speed and a sword anyway. This wouldn’t change much.

i don’t think forcing a walk is necessary.
My opinion is that fortifications need to be more viable so that flamethrowers have trouble reaching the optimal distance and locations that they are effective. Making sandbags and barbwire capable of withstanding hits so one artillery strike or frag doesn’t delete them would make flamethrowers much more difficult to use. My reasoning is that if barbwire can actually slow and injure the flamethrowers, they are out in the open for longer, making them more likely to be killed.
In addition, making use of sandbags to both cut off pathways that are optimal for flametroopers to use and also blocking areas that they would otherwise dump jet after jet of flame in (like windows), the less effective they are.
To top it off, it would make flametroopers more likely to carry TNT to breach defenses. To use TNT they have to stow their flamethrower for a moment which makes them much more vulnerable, plus they would need to retreat to a safe location to detonate.

Minor tweak on flame behaviour would be nice as well. Like currently standing nexto fire or “touching” it slightly makes you spontaneously combust, which is pretty fking stupid.
Continous dmg would be better, untill you step away from it.
And reserve that being inflames effect to “direct” hits of flamethrower.

sure nothing aganaist, is a nice mprovements, but

this is something wo need fixed first, no one want be killed behind a wall because the flame or the damage zone no clip it and hit you

Its pretty much 50/50 whether you will actually be able to roast all the enemies on cap while using a flame thrower, or if you are just gonna get domed by AI as soon as you click your left mouse key.

Also I more often tend to be killed by teammates who don’t know how to use flame thrower than by enemies with flame thrower.

flamethrower range needs to be reduced, as well as the AOE which allows to kill behind walls.

nerf everything, except the laser gun in your hand, why not play a gungame

They probably some mechanics need to limit quantity and abuse, not nerf to be a marshmallow injector, which is definitely not a wise thing to do

Flamethrowers need a nerf, its impossible to play any indoor objective when one gets inside.
