Need to know when members of your squad are killed

There is a recurring gameplay problem during games: in the heart of the action you don’t know that your soldiers are being eliminated, even close to you… A visual signal would be necessary (highlight ?) or sound when this happens.

Another problem that has been going on since the beginning of the game : you can’t stay lying on the ground when you switch from one soldier to another, which causes your whole squad to get up each time: tiring. Also, I don’t think you can order your squad to stay lying on the ground while you need to perform a standing action… Which GREATLY limits the tactical possibilities.
Thank’s.

Would be nice to have a flash on your squad member icons when one gets downed or dies.

Maybe even give us a UI option so that different status changes will or won’t flash depending on preference

You can’t look down left all the time while you’re focused on your iron sight, and I don’t think you can, you neither. Unless you’re some kind of arachnid mutant with 8 eyes.

i mean…

they flash when they die in the left corner if you leave them somewhere with the hold button ( on X ), which then they have the skull icon.

on the other hand, if you bring them near to you, you can pretty much hear them screaming or diying.

as they say, relay on your senses. not your tech.

just like in real life, the " sounds off " ( when asking about your team ) you just take a break, and look at the HUD that tells you who is alive and who is not ( although arcady for the sake of this example in enlisted )

Personally i think the problem is the ambiance, no really, the footsteps are way too feint even indoors to be able to tell if theres someone nearby, louder soldier chatter would help to this as well. maybe louder and mandatory death sounds for when a member is killed? the only thing audible in this game is the guns and the pre patch japanese sea plane.

yep, like I said it could be a red highlight when a soldier is killed, a discrete flash but strong enough to be detected by the player.

Yes, I agree the ambiance could be improved in order to allow the player to catch more signs of what is going on in their immediate surroundings.

it was always a little weird to have a whole squad just silently and stoicly get picked off by a machine gun without making a sound. fucking chads.

The way I see it we have a tool already that could be made better by being easier to see. to boot, bot squadmate interaction is underutilized right now and this could help.

Having an immersive account of your soldiers is something for custom battles.

Or maybe i have a 110° peripheral vision, like normal human, and @ErikaKalkbrenner already added there is a flash wen they are killed, so if you cant see them

Glasses?

What’s the problem with people who can’t help but adopt moralistic postures at every opportunity…? I’m only talking about an interface in a video game, I’m not disserting about modern anthropology! You can’t use your senses if a game doesn’t allow you to use them because it’s virtual and therefore unlike reality, it’s only the program that decides what you hear or not. .

Could be immersive for soldiers to say smth like “They got Rogers!” or “Daniels is dead!”

… like?

that’s… somewhat true i suppose.

but still. as i said above, you can hear them dying.

what… else do you need?

which similar to op, he still hasn’t suggested something of more concrete than a desire. which, i’m not here telling anyone what they should not or should say.

but putting a little bit more effort in actually thinking something on the resolution would only improve it.

no clue what both of you are trying to say tbh.

that could be a good start, and something that i would like to see

The problem is not knowing if there is a flash in the bottom left (and that you are so smart and alert because you would have seen it and me not XD), but whether if the player ACTUALLY perceive it during the in-game action. We all know that this indication already exists on the interface, so you don’t add anything to the discussion. I am done with you.

The squad status icons on the side of the screen

i mean, what are you suggestion of improving about that

I see it even in action, i constantly know my squad stats, so is your problem

This is the same shit wo happen with battlepass

Wen people ask wy the reward are locked wen a big red flashy botton on the right say buy me, but no them come here complain the battlepass is bugged sayng that they dont see a big red flashy botton

Exactly what you are doing it now incapable of look 0.1 sec at left of the hud and asking for big flashy arrow and sound for knows something you can know moving one of your eye of 1° to the left

Sir is skill issue

Next time what we need sound at respawn because someone dont know it respawned?

Less subtle indicator for squadmates getting downed or dying so you don’t need to stare at the icons to notice a change when it happens
