So lets say we have me 410 like attacker but we are trying to catch and kill some fighter.
Or a fighter is on our tail so we are trying to survive.
I played with planes for hundres of hours, both attacker and fighter.
Fighters are way more faster, agiler than most attacker.
And rare gunners not often manages to down them.
So what are the ideal options ?
try to get their back but its nearly impposible for a attacker
try to run but they are way faster
Any suggestions ?

just crash and burn if they are on your tail. simply not worth it to lose time if you cant manage to lose them in first minute. i had games where i tried losing enemy fighter for 5 minutes by going into circles just to ultimately die. maybe if you have another friendly player in air you can try to hold up until he notices enemy and tries to take him down.
overall it is better to die fast and then contribute to your team meaningfully on ground, rather than dodge enemy fighter for x minutes just to die later.
You can’t really beat fighter planes as an attacker (unless broken IL in Moscow), because fighter planes are specialized at plane hunting, whereas attackers are specialized for ground attack…
What you CAN do while being chased thought:
you have bombs? Fly low and slow. When you think the fighter closed you enough drop your bombs. Since you’re so close to the ground, the fighter plane might get caught in the blast, uhuhuh. You will be damaged a lot from the fighter but there’s no avoiding it.
you have a tanky and fast bomber, like bf110 c7? Fly away while maneuvering up snd down to throw the fighter’s aim away. Eventually, the fighter will cease shooting… because they don’t have much ammunition! (Unless p40 and stuff) that’s when you turn and get vengeance at the fighter going to resupply.
your team is smart and or coordinated? Fly over them. A teammate might be waiting for the perfect angle to use AA on your pursuer. Works best in a stack.
pursuing fighter seems eager and close? Cut engines, and brake! Oftentimes, the fighter will have too much speed to slow down enough and will get PASSED you!
Those are the tips I know. They’re not fool proof, a fighter ace will ALWAYS get you no matter what. Since devs “reworked” some planes a few updates ago, flying became worthless in some campaigns, like Tunisia axis for example (they pumped up p40, and nerfed axis planes turn rates here). So if a very strong fighter dominates the air…
… all you can do is take revenge with ground AA, and try to win the match using different squads.
