My computer can run Hell Let Loose, Ready or Not, and high end games pretty well, many of which on maximum graphics. I usually don’t run on high just to preserve my PC’s sanity but Enlisted isn’t too ‘high end’. When I first got enlisted, it ran smooth as butter… Now? I can’t even play the damn game because it’s stuttering and freezing to hell! I tried to wait it out, change settings, do patching, update NVIDIA, you name it, I am struggling to find a consistent solution to this. And yes, I did do bare minimum graphics, that is not the issue, this game just wants to stutter for no reason and I have zero clue why, please anybody who has had this issue as I did and solved it, please help, this makes the game borderline unplayable and I might as well just play blindfolded with how bad and consistent the stuttering is.
What hardware? Maybe it is dx12, so switch to dx11. No expert here, but from my personal experience, you would want to limit your fps, so no huge stutters
How long has this been an issue? Did anything change (no matter how seemingly minor) before it started? Have you run any diagnostics on your rig? Do any other games have a similar problem? Is there anything running in the background? Could be any number of things.
If it started happening after the big update, it’s probably the new global illumination fucking up your frames, because it happened to me too.
Micro freezes seem to occur more frequently when games are stored on the HDD. The only way to solve this is to move the game files to SSD.
I have experienced the same thing from time to time. I’ll get stutters that drop almost a second worth a frames, even while in the menu. Usually I just restart my PC to fix it, but Enlisted is the only game I have this issue with.
I know it sucks bro we’ve probably all been there but aging hardware is too blame. This technology is progressing faster than ever before and hardware updates seem to be something we might actually have to do more frequently to keep up with gaming development. If you have the money to invest buy a better GPU or build a new rig. Enlisted continues to make graphic improvements and I expect will continue to do so to use the latest technology available just like they do with War Thunder.
TLDR down below if needed:
For those who have stayed here, thank you so much for your comments, replies, and advice, I figured out what was wrong. No, it is not a hardware issue, you have to be pretty incompetent to assume that, but I don’t blame you since usually that is the case, but not here. Again, as I’ve explained, every other game, some more harsh than others, ran way smoother than this, Hell Let Loose for example, notoriously hardware heavy.
But anyway TLDR here:
I found 2 consistent ways to stop lag, restarting my computer and/or quitting Gaijin from the tray application on windows. Gaijin would stay up and on for hours at a time, and I assume this is what caused the stuttering because several times when I would quit enlisted, quit Gaijin on task manager and the tray pop up, boom, no more stuttering. Worst case scenario if that didn’t work, which hasn’t been the case so far, but in the past, if I just restarted my PC, it worked as well which-- of course-- restarted Gaijin as well. So! The solution? Stop Gaijin in the tray and/or restart your computer. That’s the best I have, but at least it works and I’m happy as a result. Before, I didn’t know what to do, but this helps now. Thank you all again!
