Na-To tanks are the lamest things I've ever seen

I don’t understand what’s the point of adding it?
Is it historically accurate? No
Could it solve Japan’s armored disadvantages in the Pacific? No
Please, think about it with your brain, an open tank with only 7 rounds of HE shells? ! It’s not even as good as the M10 and M18!
What Japan needs is the Chi-Nu Kai, not the Na-To, to be honest it’s really weird, it makes me feel like this thing is not a tank but a cannon mounted on a truck, more like a mobile AT cannon.

It’s useless, not even as good as the Chi-Ha Short Gun and Chi-Nu. Oh my God, can’t you give the Japanese army some useful tanks? Just a Chi-Nu Kai, not a UFO or an Assault Tiger, just a Chi-Nu Kai that can compete with Sherman tanks. Why is it so difficult?

Anyway, I’m going to switch back to my Chi-Nu, it’s probably pretty useless and won’t even give me an advantage against a Sherman tank
But at least it’s a normal tank and not a jeep carrying a cannon.

Think of it less as a tank, and more as a Japanese equivalent to a US halftrack with a 75 mm gun.

What I find strange though is that the 75mm halftrack wasn’t added alongside the Na-To. I can only assume it is something that is coming in the future.

i wonder na-to’s HVAP can pen the ufp of jumbo? if they can it should be 7 shots of HVAP rest equally spilt between APHE and HE

Bit off topic but Japanese had those, called 貨車山砲 “Truck mountain gun” which were used in China and during the battle of the Philippines.

But yeah agree, would’ve much preferred something that can actually compete with Jumbos if those are going to remain in the Pacific (which they shouldn’t, not even for balance reasons, there were no Jumbos in the Pacific as far as I know).

It would also help a lot if HEAT rounds were actually doing what they are supposed to do (The amount of times Type 4 with its 80mm pen didn’t go through a Stuart turret or the front of a Sherman) and HE was actually capable of more than just the kinetic impact, pretty sure the 120mm HE round of the Chi-Ha short gun should be able to push right through the roof/floor of a Sherman easily (19.5mm roof armor on the M4A2 while the 120 HE is claimed to blast through 31mm) but a friend who unlocked it told me it didn’t do anything.

Also still hoping for HEAT shells for Ho-I, even if it goes a tier up with that I don’t mind, 75mm HEAT goes through 90mm of armor which is enough for most Shermans that aren’t Jumbos.
