My take on this event

Like just about everyone else in the forum, my take is the event sucked and Dark Force should be embarrassed that this is the best they could do. The match is pathetically boring, and the fact that they set this up to hose your Allied faction with the game wins and losses is mind boggling, or to be more truthful, STUPID.

That being said, I had played a couple matches, figured out it was not worth my time, but since I kind of wanted the guns decided to fork out the $10 bucks and pay for the event. I ended up forking out another $10 bucks for gold, then about 10 or 12 games is all I played, and all losses for my Allies I might add which lowered their w/l rate, but apparently did not effect my overall rate. Why DF chose to hose the Allies is beyond me, but why they do the things they do is beyond me as well. That aside, I have a total of $20 US Bucks in the event, and got 12 guns for it, plus some cheesy melee hacking devices to go along with it, but, was it worth the money? Yes and No.

Yes, in that I got 12 guns for less then what I can buy four in their “supposed special” they are running. You know, the so called deal on their overly high priced weapons that are now 26% off and still overly priced. So, $30 bucks for four of their “on special” guns, and if I bought all three deals would be $90 bucks for 12 guns. The Winchester 1866 is a nice gun, especially at level one. The Mas 38 is decent at level two, and the sawed off shot guns are decent as pistol replacements. The bad thing is I am rewarding DF for putting out crap like this event.

So, was it worth it for $20 bucks I invested? IMOP, yes, but I hate the idea of rewarding DF for putting out this kind of drivel. If not for them hosing my allies with losses, I would probably support the event and play some more, but hosing any of my factions with losses in matches they didn’t play pisses me off.

Someone pays for this, so DF repeats this kind of behavior. Why stand up when you can make money while lying down? When they can make money, they won’t listen to anything. When there is no money to be made, they will understand everything. Paying for this is to encourage DF’s such ugly behavior.

same boat.

i don’t inherently hate event bps as long provides some side skins ( which the blood weapons would look cooler without the wire or blood, and just the cloth ) or allows to progress event faster. which it’s why i bought them in the first place.

but outright lock weapons for everyone in times that should be " fun ".

that’s a big no no.

especially after countless feedbacks and what not.
but… it doesn’t really matter.
just moneys do i guess.

hence, next time, we’ll probably will not have to.
or they have the impression that what they are doing is okay as long it sells.
which it’s a possibility that they might think that way.

Believe me, I struggled with the idea of giving money to DF for this crap, but in the end, my selfish desire for a better weapon to use won out. :joy: I am sure this is what DF expects from us as well, our desire will win out over our common sense. If the weapons were not any better then what I had, I would have said no and walked away which I do from a lot of their premium squads because I don’t care for the weapon, and I cannot change it, so those to me are easy walk aways.

The idea of this event is not bad. But I think it was poorly executed.

This is a boring mode for solo players. Try to imagine this game in pairs. It could be much more interesting. It’s more tactical than running around the map like an idiot.

The rewards…

Since I didn’t spend a single cent on this game, I can’t complain. And I’m grateful to those who give money to the game, because they’re the ones who make sure it’s free for everyone else.

I think this event lacked creativity. People on Reddit have come up with a lot of great ideas. But it’s a fact. There was a lack of creativity.
