I have seen many people talk about a potential Minesweeper class. But personally I would like to see a Saboteur class in-game. They would be able to do two things. Namely:
- Be in the enemy’s greyzone for a certain duration of time without taking any major damage. Allowing them to hunt for tanks and search for rally points. This would be a huge life saver for the infantry to say the least. But it goes without saying that for this to work we need to increase the playable areas present within the maps.
- Additionally they can roughly take on the appearance of the enemy team depending on the map and faction they might be fighting against. This would cause confusion just like the Ersatz squad. Would make for some cool customization options as well.
Well there is several people like you that suggested this, However Spy/Saboteur class is stupid idea in a fast paced environment where there all you have to do is capture points, thats all. So no one have time to search for enemies like that which will make it quite abusable on long term.
A class that access greyzone is abusive and shit which destroys the purpose of greyzone. So no, no class can access enemies greyzone. Tanks are not that great on its own, which is why they hunt in greyzone. Rallies exist to make our life easier by not wasting time on walking, but adding this will make it useless as they would prefer to walk miles instead of building rallies that get destroyed by this class all the time.

Spawn camping bad. I found one spot where you can actually spawn camp on that one French village with the river running down the middle holding the lone tower objective in front of the church with the enemy coming from the buildings. Honestly felt bad because I’m just sitting here with a Stinger and I’m seeing invincibility markers as I’m shooting dudes at the end to the street. But, it was pretty much all bots so whatever
A class with its whole gimmick is to be able to spawncamp? Nah I’m good

I won’t go as far as to call you stupid but this game is not intended for that type of unit and if added would severely unbalance things not to mention there will be those jerks who would exploit a class like that and spawn camp

I really wish people would stop saying the only option for a new class is to go into the gray zone. No class should ever go into the enemy Gray zone it opens up the ability to spawn camp no matter how restricted touching the gray zone gets. Somebody will always find a way to abuse it. Firing a weapon or shell of some sort should be the only way to combat gray zone camping. I would be fine if we had a single projectile strike to gray zones as long as it had a significant cooldown so it can’t be abused.

Yea the game is pretty much max on class now the only class they can add is either super niche or another vehicle base class
Tbh they might as well rework rider so they can used armored car and recon car, that would be better than new class for them
