We all know the prime counter argument for this, maps too small which is almost true
Understand the majority of the maps fall in that category of
•100 meters from spawn point to objective
•the area around being mostly covered with cover for infantry, roads generally obstructed by bomb crates and materials
But that’s not the formula used on all maps.
Prime examples:
Quarry south/north
Armored train escort
Majority of Tunisia maps
All of these maps use a formula of
•good quantity of open space
•sparse cover for soldiers
•generally, spawn points far away from the objective and objectives being far away from each other, somewhere around 200m ish
In these types of maps, the need for rally points is almost necessary if not long and exposed running to the battle is what awaits you, in my opinion this is enough proof that armored transport vehicles do have a place in the game
I suggest that Tunisia would be the perfect testing ground since they have the biggest and sparse maps in Enlisted.

Still, I would like to see the Sd.Kfz. 251 at winter Moscow maps. Like fortified district.

In truth, all maps are large enough to add those really much requested vehicles. The problem is that only some sections of it are open at all time surrounding the cap zone with grey zone…
A new mode, like the classic Heroes & General one (surprisingly) with very large maps and a LINE of points to cap into succession, that could be captured back and forth by both teams would justify those. They should probably allow more players per match too…

if it is only couple of vehicles on specific maps then ok.
if you think of them as spawnable squads then hard no. it could be easily abusable by attackers… just spam vehicles to rush to points and when they are destroyed it creates artificial cover for attacker approach.
Or we could have it so that we use the large maps with 5 dispersed zone areas like the town of Omer, le bre’s town, and the town that is Connected to ruins of vaux it’s apart of the other beach map

IF darkflow would want to go that route and add these I see absolutely no problem to add larger maps that are designed specifically so that players can use armored transports while keeping the old, smaller maps without transports.
Some existing maps actually could profit from that as well. The French chateau map e.g. could use either 1-2 per side which spawn after some time or - what I would prefer - motorized squads which are mostly riflemen but spawn with a Scout Car/Armored Transport.
That would also grant new campaign tech tree lvl options and I doubt that it would seriously break the balance of any map. Yet it should be made as with tanks that there can’t be more than 2 around per side at the same time.
You could even do it in a way that Tunisia e.g. has mostly unarmed transports or that Germany can only field 1 at the same time while the US can field two to reflect the motorized advantage of the USA and add some further nation balancing.
And here’s my reason for why they should be added: It’d be cool. I wanna use a 251.
Any mode where you see beforehand what points you need to capture (or defend), being completely opened (no grey zone) would be great 🤷
