The only other game that’s akin to conquest here, is battlefield, well actually battlebit can join in too.
In those games, matches last much longer, and that’s what makes them special. It takes time for a match to ‘rev up’ or get started, and allow you to create those truly special moments in a game. You know what I’m talking about…
Like when you and another player have unofficially declared rivals and battle for the same spot of a map.
Or when there’s a stalemate on a street, with infantry attacking on both sides, and armour battling it out head-on vying for a strategic point in the game.
Or the sweaty satisfaction of going through the whole map as a sniper, without dying once, not rushing, but taking your time, waiting for your prey as you move from spot to spot.
Enjoying as the battles shift from different parts of the maps, creating little episodes within a game, smaller skirmishes that decide the ultimate fate of the match.
But none of that can happen, because the games are just too darn short. It’ll be much more enjoyable if it didn’t feel like such an after thought - and it’d take 2 seconds to fix.
Slow down the ticket degen, and have them only degen from flags, kills shouldn’t affect it.
Plus I dislike the fact, the thing that matters for conquering objectives is how many bodies are in objective.
I would change this only to how many different squads/players are in objective. Meaning 1 real player with rest of wiped out squad would have same significance as 1 player with full squad of living bots.
Which would meant 2 different players without any living bots left would be always > to one single player with other 8 living rifleman bots in squad.
I am so annoyed when my whole squad will die from bomb or so. And I myself became basically just completely irrelevant for conquering objectives. I suicided my last soldier many times because of this. It’s just waste of time to continue play with him. You have no significant impact on taking objectives.
It’s extremely annoying, frustrating and boring. You basically just rely on bots. And this is most noticeable for game modes like assault or conquest where is more objectives at one time.
That’s the main reason why Enlisted’s conquest is so frustrating to me personally. Even tho I loved conquests in BF.
well problem with conquests are numerous and not just short matches.
my biggest problem with conquest is that it is running simulator. you spend more time running from one cap to another than actually fighting. also it splits playerbase all over the map, so you dont have easy way to farm kills.
