yes.

it is allowed

however, it appears you made italian marines instead.

because those uniforms are from the san marco regiment.

not sure if you are going for historical loadouts, but…

couple of things in no particular order,

  • italians didn’t tipically used 3 machineguns.

usually only 1.
but since you could play the " plausability "
2 are fine.

yes, the breda 30s were italians, but italians also used zb 26s
so for a change you could use one.

  • armaguerras weren’t used at all.
but in theory planned to be given 3 to a squad single specialist squad ( the san marco regiment was considered among elite / special unit regiment )

the most used carcano were

Carcano M41 & Modello 1891

the shorter version ( M38 ) were rare and mostly given to black shirts / rear echelon troops.

same goes for the sniper version.
the carbine were rare on the front lines.

Bonus:

the italians did used s18-100 ( for anti tank troopers if you had the chance to obtain it from the bp )

beretta m1s 40 rounds were more common.

with that being said,
it is also worth to mention that the italians did also used kar98ks, mp40s, mg42s and mg34s.

Thank you for the feedback!y main goal with this wasn’t really to make a squad but try to use as many Italian weapons that saw somewhat combat as possible as I want to give Italy some love as it’s equipment is honestly underrated.

So what I’m gonna do is remove the Armaguerra’s and replace them with M41s and give my third machine gunner the ZB, other then that, I think I might leave the rest alone. Anyways thanks for your feedback it’s been really helpful!

My squad setup is very different. I’m not on currently, but tomorrow I’ll be able to grab a photo of it. Essentially, this is how my Loadout is:

BR II Italian MG Squad:

  • 2 Breda Mod 30s with Beretta M1934, SCRM Mod 35, and large ammo pouch
  • 2 engineers, both equipped with Carcano Mod 38, SCRM Mod 35, Beretta M1934
  • 1 AT with Carcano Mod 38, GrB-39 (couldn’t get the Solothurn), SCRM Mod 35
  • 2 Rifleman with Carcano M1891, one with SCRM Mod 35, other with TNT Charge for backup AT

I disagree with Erika. Sources I read said the 6.5 Carcano Mod 38 was pretty prevalent on the battlefield. Plus, I absolutely loathe the Carcano M41 damage.

You could still keep an Armaguerra as they did see limited use. But only one, and probably on the Engineer squad

Ok thanks

Wait what squad gets the arma?

Give one to the first engineer on your engineer squad. I’m not sure in reality which squads would’ve been prioritised with one (most likely an assault squad).

But I know from experience Engineer squads benefit more from low tier Semi Auto than MG squads.

Ok thanks!

I also gave my AT engineer a Mannlicher instead of the M41

in reality DF made a huge mistake with the uniforms as they are wearing the RSI ones instead of the REI ones

most likely the person responsible for this opened google images and took the first one he found without knowing the difference

these are the San Marco REI uniforms

these are the RSI uniforms (immediately recognizable by the fascist Gladio instead of the royals stars )

MEGA NOPE

the carcano 91/38 was the main Italian rifle in the 6.5 version

M41 was used in Russia

M1891 remained in service but used mainly by troops not at the front (but still saw the front)

the 38 you are talking about is the 7.35 which saw very limited use due to the different ammunition

do you mean the MAB38 and 38/42

and also G41,43 and Mg15

Carcano mod sights are much more comfortable… feels like the moschetto for obvious reasons

I completely forgot they used Mannlichers. I just don’t use it much because I hate the sights (arguably the worst sights in the game). I wouldn’t bother using the M41 at all - one of the slowest bolting guns in the game and the lowest damage to boot.

As promised, here are photos of how I chose to do my MG squad setup.

With the recent update, I’ll now be able to change the nationality of my few German soldiers into Italians, making it a true Italian squad. Also, only one of my Riflemen have the TNT charge - the other has the SCRM Mod. 35 Impact Grenade.

Nice I’ve already changed all my soldiers nationality to Italian in those squads, btw what’s your highest BR in Germany?

BR IV. I’ve grinded the Gewehr 43 and MG 42, and am grinding through the SMG tree currently. All my other factions are around the same point.

I just went back to BR II because it was cheaper to change all my soldiers and gear to be more Historically Accurate than BR III and above, although I will move back eventually.

I play BR II, but I’ve started to get most BR III Things and I have 1 BR V plane

No matter what BR I’m in, my riflemen will most likely use the Kar98k

Even in BR IV I plan on keeping a Kar 98 with me. It’s great because you can surprise Semi Auto users because they’re not expecting a one-shot kill at any range. Plus, it wouldn’t be right to take 4 semi autos in a squad (too expensive and not HA). Especially if they’re Gewehr 41s . . .

My highest kills in a BR III match actually came from using a majority of bolt actions. They are seriously overpowered, at least against semi autos.

The only other rifle I’ll use is the Gewehr 43 and that’s only in APC squads, due to the Gewehr 43 being used by the junior squad leader in irl Panzergrenadier squads

Good setup! I don’t play Germany that much anymore nowadays. But, I have a few squads that I loved to play as during the pre-merge days in the Tunisia campaign.

Carcano Mod. 38 was the best bolt action in the Tunisia campaign, loved it to death
