It’s all about money. 
I am pretty horrified to note that I need to play 30 days straight to unlock all the rewards in the F2P Battle Pass. Maybe I have a window of 4 days which I can skip? A difficult ask especially during this festive season.
Well the battlepass is essentially free after your first purchase of one as long as you don’t spend the gold which I’m sure a lot of people do… I’m sure they are just trying a new model out to see if they can actually bring in some more money.
In defense of DF, it is a business for them, so I have no problem with them making money, especially since we’re not forced to buy anything. 
Yeah. The Battle Pass is actually the most worthwhile purchase in the entire game. Because of the fact which you just pointed out. But I am not sure about this event one though. Events should be free for everyone so that they can have a nice time.
It kind of is still free and you’re not missing anything important if you don’t pay
I understand. Nothing wrong with making money. They need it to further develop the game. But I am not quite sure if this is the right way to do so. Nevertheless, let’s see how this all pans out.
Im sure they’ll still do the traditional events that we have all come to know, I’m also assuming they’ve realized the hole they fell down with everyone expecting unique weapons every month. It’s just not sustainable. Best guess is they’re trying to figure out a way to relieve the burden of it some how

It will be wise for them to take a lesson out of this entire episode and not to try anything like this in the future. There are a lot of ways to make money. But this sure ain’t one of them. The amount of backlash which I saw on Reddit is unbelievable.

More like 150-200 gold if you ask me. Adding a paid BP to an event feels hillarious in the first place.
well that would still be something tbh but ngl this event is really fun for me (even if im lagging all over the place)
Yeah. It’s really fun. Can’t deny that. I just wished it wasn’t this tedious. Playing the same event for 15-20 days at a stretch gets boring after a while. Plus, you don’t get any silver from this event as well.
It depends on how much profit it makes, if a lot of people bought the battle pass they will 100% do it again- with more skins
Yep. True. But they are standing on the edge with these weapon skins. The next one that I can personally think of is that jungle camo on the Owen gun. Perhaps a mag attached to the butt stock of the M1 Garand or something. Anything else seems a bit over the top.
