The BR system is sooo frustrating. As a newer player I can deal with the random game here and there getting put into BR3 games when I choose not to play with BR3 squads or items…BUT if you are going to implement the BR system you should be consistent with it. I just spent over 7000 silver unlocking the grenadier squad for soviets which says is BR3. The grenade launcher mosin is listed as a BR3! so I assume that would put me in 3-4 games, but I get put into BR5 games. I can’t compete in those games, and was led to believe I was just slowly moving up the ladder of progress, but now that squad is almost useless to me and now im 7000 silver down

I don’t mind the BR system to make the fights even, but there is a huge difference over BR 1-2 and they aren’t even following the stats in game. If a BR3 item is used I should expect to be put into a BR3 game, but not a 5

It is best to stay in BR2 now until you unlock BR5 equipment. It shows which match you are out in at the lower right side of the screen. Hopefully the devs will do something about this in the future because BR1 players get wrecked by BR3 and BR3 get wrecked by BR5.
There is Low Tier (I-III) and High Tier (III-V)
I’d suggest slowly grinding out a full set of BR III stuff while in BR II, and then going from there. If you can’t compete in High Tier, then stay in Low Tier and build up the experience in the game needed to deal with the auto and explosive spam that is High Tier
Trust me, every so often even I need to run some BR II squads to just kinda relax and play matches that are less intense
Stay in BR 2 until you unlock a decent amount of BR 3 equipment, then transition from BR 2 to BR 3.
I recommend getting the PPSH box mag, SVT 38 and KV 1 before transitioning.

You can live well in a level 5 room relying on PPD42 and 60 Iron Fist
Don’t touch a grenade rifle until you get an anti-tank grenade rifle
I use some br 1 and 2 weapons in 5.0. Your problem sounds like a skill problem. This game is played by people who know how to play and go hard. Many players are veterans and have unavailable units. If you want advice other than that DF messed it up which is an excuse, pick the weapon you play best with and play with it. You can play the shotgun but the rifle, both kill in one shot.
Br 3 is very difficult, let it stay at 2. Otherwise, I agree with everything.
Depends on the faction and the playerbase. Sometimes you can get a low of Low Tier with III and have a lot of fun
Sometimes you can be playing III Allies at this moment and face nothing but FG 42 II’s and StG’s all the time

I was following the skill tree as it shows and the grenade mosin is listed as br3 yet it puts me into br 5 if I want to use it
You may also face br 1 & 2 with your Mosin. It’s random… br 3 is a “floating” br that can go either way: you dominate being 2 br over the others OR you get dominated being 2 br under…
But! Ppsh41 box, is a boon. It’s still competitive at br 5, it’s just fantastic.
If you do use grenade launchers, you will however anger most veterans who will in turn go full sweat mode on you. And sweat is yucky! Avoid it

BR III is a gamble between Low Tier and High Tier. Sometimes you’re top dog owning everyone else running around with Bolties. Sometimes you’re the underdog and gotta sweat your balls off to keep up. Just the nature of the beast. It’s fantastic
Yeah…most people get mildly butthurt when rifle nade spam starts happening. Lol
even I do, but it’s because my subconscious remembers ccp abusing those, and impact grenades. When I saw those losers in game I made a point of honour to give them a lesson.
I still do today, problem is the poor blokes doing this are even more incompetent than Winnie spammers… I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

Sad thing is that all impact explosives are still super unreliable and only work somewhere between 1/5 of the time and 1/2 the time
