It could be related to rebalance of rockets gew months ago in which HVARs were nerfed. I remember using M8 weeks before merge and they were quite reliable at destroying tanks (same cannot be said about HVARs since nerf).
That’s extremely worrying. I haven’t tried US BR2 yet. Since it is pretty boring and uninteresting in the matter of weapons for me personally.
But facing them as Japanese, we mostly had quite balanced matches.
So I guess the problem is more related to popularity of German faction more than anything. Because I don’t think germans possess OP stuff on BR2/3.

German gear is kinda bad for BR2 specially SMGs, the soviets can just grab the PPS and dominate CQC and caps… and they moved the VG1-5 up to BR3 due some moronic reason

PPS-43 + 2x 76mm tanks + P-40E + WINchester = win way too many games with no effort. Soviets are only missing some AT launcher everything else is superior or equal. With winter sale i’m going to pick up Soviet premium paras and also use them with PPS-43 and be even more flexible and also op with enhanced lineup.

My third battle USA BR 2.
To be fair: longer, more fun and more balanced I guess.
Still a loss, 3 in a row for USA, also 3 in a row battles in Tunisia and no Pacific at all.
Yes the M8 rockets were also nerfed then together with HVAR.
I couldnt kill many tanks any more after that with M8 or HVAR (skill issue on my part).
But today I wiped out 3 tanks with M8 in my first battle, this cant be a coincidence.

I played around 20 battle with BR 2 USA since the merge. I have to say that german players are quite good and it is quite difficult to get the upper hand in Tunisia. Pacific however is much easier, but sometimes you will encounter people spamming grenade launcher.
Also I tend to see a lot of BR 3 german player and not so many japanese BR 3.
The tank that you meet at BR 2 are not as tough as the one you might have encountered in Normandy. I don’t think that the M8 rocket got buffed.

Due to a whole army with Semi automatic rifles vs a whole team of dudes with at best lever actions and bolt action (For the russians)
and the US having the dreadful M1 carbine which only becomes better when it can launch nades.
Over all Playing every nation I can say: Russia is full of really stupid teams.
Germany got a mixed bag of good and bad players.
Japan is 50/50
US is really really bad atm for the most part.

PTRD can pen almost every single B.R 1-3 tank as far as I know.

ATM: I don’t think Japan has alot of vet or old players below IV.
I truly believe Japan shouldn’t have anything above tier III due to nothing there really fits.
An m1 Garand rip off
Chi-Nu which has the same armor as a T2 tank with just a better gun.
A flamethower which is probably one of the only thing’s suited to IV.
Both planes are equal to T-2 or even T3 american planes but are for some reason tier IV
Type 2 SMG: Bayonet and 50 round mag, Other then it’s the same gun as the T2 type 2A
type otsu, Which imo is about the same as the type Hei.
Over all, Japan Tier IV is basically a ton of stuff that belongs in tier III past the flamethower which is the odd one out.

What bot farming and as another person put it “With only 2 campagins being full”
Most aren’t used to PVP and most who are brought in by the merge or ads or such aren’t that great over all, Leading to them fighting tons of vets.
They’ve always been this fucking bad sadly
Merging them all into one place just drives it home
Which shows you a lot via the people on this forums saying the merge ruined the game.
Over all, The players have always been bad as you said but they were able to cope with Feds, STG-44s, Tiger 2, Or even M2 carbine which took the load off their shoulders, And seeing as many of their foes were stupid bots or low level foes.
I think a lot of players are disoriented by hte merge - trying to set up new lineups, getting different maps, trying to understand hte new tech tree and perks, etc…
So overall for many it’s currently a negative experience and they are not at their best.
I know my first few games (Axis BR 2) were all pretty quick losses - but managed a couple of wins tonight and it feels like the teams are getting a bit more “with it”

4 x battle played (2x tunisia fortress defending)
4 x only tunisia
4 x loss for USA
6 deserters on my team.
The battle was kinda ok I guess.

Wow that seems painful… Yesterday I played US BR 2 on EU and I did not had any struggle. I haven’t played yet today.
