At least 2-3 pathways each tier going to the next, with some branching paths to tread another pathway that is after equipment you otherwise have skipped.
Those items before switching to a new path would still need to be unlocked, but this is a better choice of freedom that makes sense with how each of these bolt actions perform in the game.
This list contains, hopefully, every bolt action within the game (cross referenced with my wiki).
- Bolt Actions, in my opinion, only truly deserves to go to tier 4 as the highest it could go.
- There would only be a maxium of 6 BR tiers in my proposed system, not 10 from devs.
If I missed anything, please let me know so I can amend my list and find a place for it to go at.

Looking at this list tells me you don’t actually know how good each bolt action is, kar 98 at tier 1 with the gewehr 33/40, in dreams only, mosin 44 after dragoon, absolutely not

That’s why they were literally starting weapon for every German campaign except Tunisia.
Dividing BAs into tiers is kinda pointless overall. Basically the most important aspect of every BA is its sights, nothing else. 10 round instead of 5 is just bonus, but it shouldn’t be difference between 3 tiers (or six as devs showed us)
Imagine Kar98 not being starter weapon. Literally the most well known german BA.
It would hilarious if German faction would start with some italian rifle instead.

Well. Winchester is good one since its not a BA rifle on a technical level.

The kar has without a doubt the cleanest sights and the most accurate shooting of any bolt action in the game bar none, its also not a starter weapon is Moscow, the one thing no one should be able to argue with is the mas 36 after the kar, that’s like saying a dead man is a better runner mo farah

Basically 90% of current BAs are completely non relevant.
Trying to spread them into line that should reflect their power level is so… Meaningless. Since majority of them has no impact on game whatsoever. There’s no visible difference between them for casual player.
Hopefully you’ll be able to just grind out one BA per 1 battle. So every normal player could completely skip this overspammed branch with BAs as quickly as possible.
Otherwise it wouldn’t be anything healthy for game at all.

Condense all bolties in the first 3 tiers, except those with gl, and it’s all good.
I don’t see why devs want to spread them so much.

Maybe because things of higher br tier will cost more to maintain when they finally implement maintenance costs 
It is better than the one published by the developers, but still not good. Bolt action rifles shoud be restricted to levels 1- 3, not 1- 4. There is no reason to lock nearly half of the game (4 of 10 levels) for their lovers.

Sorry, I missed that. Then it is the same bad as the developers (I cannot revoke my heart).
I think the Winchester is more deserving of Tier 4 than the 1944L or either Japanese T4 rifle. I think the SMLEs both need to jump up a tier, as well as the Lee Enfield Mk I, with them being 10 round capacity and all. Otherwise it’s a pretty good list.
a couple of changes i’d make to this, swap out the M1917 Enfield with the P14 one, add the Winchester M95 and either the M91/30 or M91 Dragoon into Tier 4, and the G98 'stendo into tier 4 aswell
