I don’t know it’s intentional or it’s a bug, MP40 does 7.2 damage makes no sense. Damage is the only factor that you shouldn;t change like a tablecloth, a very bad beginning tbh. Catridge and barrel lenght should be the only two factors that affect the damage

I’ve got a theory.
The avt now does 15.8 damage, over the avs still doing 14.
The Czech semi now does 15.8 as well, but the g41 does 14.
Could it be incentive to upgrade equipment from the mp38 to the mp40? From avs to avt? G41 to Czech semi?
I don’t think it’s a good thing but it’s the only reason I see.

In Stalingrad, there’s also the g41, still doing 14 max damage. If they imported damage values from there, shouldn’t BOTH g41 and Czech semi do the same damage, as they also both are in Stalingrad?

I think it’s a good thing, because when MP40 has 7.2 damage, I can counter PPD teams, and leveling up isn’t that hard

I just think it happend by applying some of the datas from stalingrad, some kind of bug mostly. Im pretty sure about it since nothing have had changed with West-front ones/ and also MP41.
It’s what I mean: I’m not sure of it. The g41 and Czech semis both are in Stalingrad. Yet only the Czech one now benefits from a damage buff. In all campaigns where they’re present.
It’s like they want the “second tier” of semis to be much more powerful than the “first tier”… maybe to get ppl spending to replace their “tier 1 ones”…
Now that I think about it. Isn’t the drum ppd38/40 now doing a bit less damage than ppsh41?
And it would actually save resources to develop later weapons, for example, the Germans would not need to replace the MP35 now. Then use MP40 until you get 39M
They might be, but i haven’t seen any weapon damage changes on a change log. And also since AVTs Damage got buffed but not FG at Berlin, I think it mostly will be a bug.

Yeah, it’s a bit confusing.
We will see what happens, the update is still fresh.
But I suspect they will KEEP the higher damage
values of those end tier weapons… sounds like something they’d do

But well since MP35/I Lost it’s own meaning and its only merits by MP40 changed, I mostly think they haven’t meant that one either though

Possibly. It makes the mp38 less attractive however…
More players will reach mp40 lvl, but more casual ones might struggle to reach the mp35.
I’m a bit sad for the mp35/i thought. I liked that strange weapon.

I was using it as my main “work horse” for Moscow and Berlin for a long time. Served me really well, till Kiraly and mp43 came in.
mp40 have 7.2 damage is good. mp35/l should have 8.0 damage as an upgrade with mp40.
It doesn’t make any sense. As Kiraly should then do much more than the mp35.
And by then, they’d do more than all Thompson 45acp?
They’ll probably rework all values.

As for 39M, before this one they were always drawing circles that I didn’t like
As for MP43, they are laser guns, and even monkeys can easily use them to erase Allied units
Well making all damage high dosen’t seems like an good idea, those firepower creep will just be deeper and deeper… if MP35/I gets buffed to 8.0 then MP43 would be buffed either, and next one, and next… It would bring vicious circle
