MP28 issue

Hey Devs I know this would be pretty bottom of the barrel issue to fix but maybe it’s a quick one. For the MP 28 it says to quote “Further development of the MP-18 with the addition of a fire selector and a more reliable magazine”. However, it is Auto ONLY. There is no fire selector for semi-auto or sometimes you see Auto- Slow. Was this historically a semi-auto capable weapon during its day? Can this be fixed as I usually choose to play BRI and I like to switch to Semi-auto with SMGs from time to time (depending on the situation).

I forgot to add that in the Japanese MP 28(7.65 mm) also does NOT have a fire selector option either. Not sure if that model would have different specs where they did add a fire selector (I could see the better use of this with the Japanese as they can fire up to 50+ round compared to the 20 for the Germans). The British Lanchester is NOT semi-Auto capable as it says in its description, “British copy of the German MP28/II with no fire selector and simplified sights”.

  1. German MP28 is supposed to have a fire mode selector, you can see it above the trigger on the left side.

  2. Japanese “MP28” is not an MP28, but an older copy of MP18 that didn’t have a fire mode selector. In fact, its exactly the same gun as “SIG 1920”, the SIG-Bergmann M1920

darkflow does not care about accuracy at all, have you seen the MP43 reload? they punch out the magazine like they’re reloading an AK but the mag release is on the side of the mag well (imagine an M4A1 rifle)

Well I just figured for continuity and game play it would be nice if it truly had fire select options (if it does at the very least add it to the stats under “fire mode” like all the others.

The strange thing to me is that this gun is clearly a Chinese weapon due to it firing a 7.65x21cartridge. Japan had a few MP-18 and MP-28 SMGs in service, however they were chambered in the 7.63x25 standard navy pistol cartridge. Chinese weapons were occasionally captured and pushed into Japanese service, so I’d assume maybe that is what they are doing here?

Yeah, the “MP 28” in japan should be renamed to “SIG 1920” and the “SIG 1920” should be renamed to “Type Be”
