I agree with that - Soviet side always loses. The causes of this are debatable. I’m not entirely sure ONLY MP-41 is to blame. We get PPK - with vertical stability perk - it’s fantastic. We get PPD with drum - easily upgrades, massive drum. Madsen, Winchester, SVT.
Personal weapons are probably not the problem. I would say more to blame:
German tanks are super OP - specially Pz2. Others are op as well - 5 men crew - best Soviet tanks are 3 crews.
Soviet uniforms are bright colors - ridiculous. While Germans get full green camo.
3, Early game on Soviet is boring, so nobody is playing it.
Sorry, those are historical uniforms. It is not developers fault that USSR designers came up with that idea.
Only premium squad and MG squad have those bright uniforms (and tanks crew, but camouflage doesn’t matter in their case anyway). The rest have uniforms in brown and green tones + snipers in snow camo (german sniper team has it too)
But they do not have the mobility and HE shells of BT-7. Each side has the tanks that serve different roles right now.
What do the Germans have early game that Soviet do not? As we can see there are some balance problems with Pz II, but the rest is pretty balanced for each side. Lack of players is more complicated than “boring” and was talked about on this forum many times.
Their mobility is second in the game only to the BT-7 and they’re far more mobile than the common T-26 and T-60. The PzIIIs have shit HE but the dual MG34 coax rip infantry apart just as well if not better depending on the situation.
The 5 crew thing is kinda bullshit because the 45mm APHE takes a silly amount of penetrations to actually knock them out.

They have the MP-41 - did you not notice the subject of this thread!?? (which is not about tanks, or why Sov’s have less players…)
I don’t know the exact reload times, but when BT or T-26 hits my PzIIIE and kills the gunner I’m almost dead. They shread my crew faster than I can switch sits to replace the gunner. So most of the times it all depends on who fires first.
And still PzIIIE is rather weak, just like T-26 is said to be weak on Soviet side.
The comment I was answearing to didn’t talk about MP41 either.
Soviets have PPK, which is pretty good weapon too - I pick it up every time I can. And to be clear - I’m totally in when it comes to nerfing MP41 - its recoil is absurd right now.
It just takes enough time to end the “being hit” animation and changing sits for the enemy tank to reload. I’m sure that it is the same for soviet tanks.
I say it completely boils down to nobody wanting to try soviets because they see soviets losing, which causes them to lose more.
German tanks are OP yeah; weaker HE is more than made up for by being much harder for infantry to kill. A tank with mediocre firepower that can continue putting out that firepower for 5 minutes is better than a tank with good firepower that can only deliver it for 2 minutes. If Russia could get a good rotation going to keep spawning replacements, which doesn’t happen, that might not matter however.
But as far as infantry goes, Russia is overall the better nation.
Maps are the biggest problem, Soviet uniforms were bright because there was snow everywhere but here in Enlisted, we can hardly see any snow at all. It doesn’t feel like winter in Russia, more like winter in Greece.
SU gets shotgun - different, but really powerfull weapon in close quarters, basically one-shoting any german soldier. MP38 is nowhere OP - OP weapon is MP41 right now. If you don’t like shotguns here - comparision between that “OP” SMG and your PPD. As you can see, MP gets slightly bigger magazine and minimal higer damage. PPD instead gets lower per-shot recoil and almost double the firerate of MP. Sure, recoil feels higher on PPD, but that is because of the big firerate - if you shoot with bursts instead of spraying whole magazine at once you can be just as acurate as MP. They are different, not unbalanced.
Well, then what is going on with all the snow lying on the ground. I’m almost sure that even if there would be human-sized snow drifts you would complain anyway.
Well, so at the end of the day all depends on the personal likes of each player. When looking on the statistics guns are balanced - you just can choose between many options and it is very likely that more choices will come to the game in the future.
