Well this squad has no point being BR III its BR II squad same is the weapon :
As you can see Type 1 is just a bit better MP 28… Then lets compare it to a starting BR III weapon:
How do you think its Type 1 closer to SIG 1920 or MP 28 ???

So even if Type 1 is BR II its worse then this squad …

I really can’t help this premium unit. Can’t be bothered with the hassle for a unit that is no longer available for purchase? Because no one is willing to pay for these troops anymore?

Well it can be refreshed making it BR II and giving one of the squad members anti tank weapon and you have the same squad like the Chinese one for Japan.
How long have they been putting things on that list of theirs?

IRL they were remnant of Teishin Shudan (IJA’s special force which literally translate to raiding group , the Teishin Shudan also had regiments of paratrooper . There were internal rivalry between the navy and army so both developed their own special force Teishin Shudan was for the arme and SNLF (special naval landing force ) were for navy which had bunch od paratrooper regiments which are represented in game ) Gritesu were never had any airborne missions they were used as elite , commando type unit they were famously used in Battle of Okinawa
