Lets talk about powercreep

I honestly am afraid for the future of the game - event weapons and gold orders always used to be a bit better or special in comparison to regular tech tree guns, but I guess that was okay because those have been limited AND free to unlock.

Besides the fact that the new BP system doesn’t allow for targeted unlocks anymore, most weapons recently introduced were very strong for their BR.

US got a very good BR3 semi auto - unique in its own way, but still very powerful.
Germany got a BR4 MKB that has less dispersion and more dps than STG44.
Japan got a very good semi auto rifle for BR3 aswell, a straight upgrade to most semi autos.

Now US gets a Winchester for BR1 - which is pretty strong considering it deals “decent” damage and fires very quickly - outperforming bolt actions in close to medium range.

Dont get me wrong, there have been alot of gold orders and event guns in the past that have been very good weapons, but I think I am observing some dangerous amount of powecreep for quite some time now.

We have been talking about Soviets needing some weak semi auto for BR2 alot here on the forums- we only got gold and premium units in return.

We have discussed the possibility of lower power MKBs getting moved to BR4 - we got BP MKB

We talked about US maybe getting some love with their Thompsons, we got multiple event and premium Thompsons instead.

MP 40 stuggles to compete with faster shooting SMG, we got BR2 MP35.

US MG fires kinda slow - we got the Stinger.

I fear that the tech tree is getting more and more ignored and obvious imbalances are getting overshadowed by special unlock gear. I don’t like this at all.

I think it’s a waste of time to discuss balance seriously until they finally implement this  to live server.

There must be about a third of all the weapons in the game on that list already.

needs to be moved to BR2 like all other weak semi-autos.

Why? I would say it’s definitely worse than KB-P-135. And literally nobody ever cared about it being BR1.

didnt check the stats yet, but it did reasonably well in the event.
I will check the stats later though, its not in the resource yet.

There hasnt been a proper BR “sweep” since merge (unless you want to count all the SMGs that got moved down because of PPS)

From what I remember, it does have around 10dmg, 10 rounds in mag and one-by-one reloading.

That latter in particular makes it a BR1 weapon.

If they upped the dmg on it, I might consider putting that weapon on BR2.

with that damage, I would say that BR2 is perfectly reasonable even with that reload, but that might be just me.

Semis usually have around 12-14 dmg. 10 is way below average. Combined with reload system, I really don’t think it’s somewhat OP for BR1. It’s just unique.

It’s fine at 1 it has horrible dispersion + low muzzle velocity for that type of gun and it doesn’t get the pinpoint accuracy as most bolt action rifle it’s more of a fun usage rifle and unique too

actually speaking of Thompsons. The “good” 50 round Thompson that was in Tunisia Beta and then never came back is now a April fool purchase item… :frowning: wanted it back in tech tree for so long…

:frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Well I dont necessarily think its OP, but its still practically a semi auto, that well still one hit kills new players because they have no vitality - dont get me double wrong, I like the Winchester so far quite alot, its a fun gun, but adding the recent guns together I do think that the devs should give more attention to the TT instead.

Well its funny how Hino rifle has no recoil and its blow forward rifle all all blow forward weapons normally have very big recoil

'‘Due to the reduced mass of rearward-traveling parts coupled with the increased mass of the forward moving parts (barrel in addition to bullet and propellant gasses), recoil energy is significantly greater than other operating mechanisms. The barrel and spring are generally the only moving parts. Most blow-forward guns rely partially on the inertia of the barrel as the rest of the firearm recoil away from it."’
