The B1 has only 2 250 kg bombs which now are as low as BR 2 for certain planes so the payload is just terrible for BR 5. But the plane itself isnt even much better than the very similar to the Bf 110 versions found in BR 3. Like when was the last time you saw a B1 beeing used? Even pre merge it never really saw play.
The 410 with the rockets while beeing miles better than the B1 would be very comparable to the old Bf 110-G2 that belongs to BR 3.
Ever since devs decided that 4 250kg bombs are fine in BR 3 you cant even argue that any of their payloads would be “too good” for BR 3.
I would agree but on the stream on friday major said that the XA 38 is at a good spot for BR 3 so them changing it is almost an impossibility because of it.
I did bring up the rocket version aswell and I knew that that would be the stronger one. But still the G2 is still the better plane and was in BR 3 and nobody really complained. Losing the 30mm does mean giving up the ground strafe possibility so it wouldstill be worse than the G -2 in my eyes.
Replacing the attacker slot with a fighter slot just isnt the same.
At this point the attacker slot is beeing made more and more obsolete with the fighter slot beeing the one you chose for CAS, over the dedicated attackers, as they somehow hit harder while still able to fight planes.
Another Me410 B-1 Post yup (late to the party…ill make one too)…Its only got bombs and pretty much a side grade.
As for justification for the BF110 G-2
There are 7 rocket planes From BR 1-3 that aren’t the BF110 G-2 and several of them are equally destructive. (and far more notorious thant the BF110…weird they weren’t touched…)
That would actually be very interessting to see how it would perform there with those.
But then USSR mains would probably want a proper BR 4 attacker aswell as they currently have none.
