This italian plane seems to be good,but at where it is it at it is overteired.where it is,it is in the same BR as the BF109 G10,one of germanys best fighters with a nice array of weapons,but the G55s armament is nothing close to the G10s,with a single 20mm and 4 12.7mm bredas and the only thing to make this up being just 2 100kg bombs,there is zero reason to use this unless you are using an all italian preset,which i am sorry for you that you have to go fight pershings and P47s with this,the inadequate italian paratroopers,and a 40 round beretta being your only high teir options,rest being BR 1 and 2.so bringing this down to BR3 would bring it better balance,as it is along the FW 190 A4,which has a fairly large MG armament but no bombs,and this would be a tradeoff,some small bombs for a less powerful MG array.and this will help all the people who want to play italy low teir and not have to use 2 of the worst planes in the game.
the reason is the G10, G 14 and K4 dont have bombs.
The G.55 has tank killing potential, while being slightly more maneueverable, and enough guns to kill planes.
But hey, I love this plane, matters not to me if it goes down a BR lol.
I would like some of the more heavily armed G.55 fiats types though.
Another BR change to note, its surprising to me how few BR changes they have made since the launch of the merge.
Bad idea. This plane is too good for BR 3. For me it is the best fighter of Germany.
to be honest. I would take G.55 Fiats over german fighters any day…I just enjoy them… MC 202s are enjoyable too…(except my g10 premium…30mms alot of fun)
Yea I prefer the G.55 over other axis fighters. Much more controllable and doesn’t drift as much as the FW series does, I still don’t know if the poor handling of the fw series is intentional.
I dont know. When just doing general reading, you hear how amazing the 190 was. I used to like it and fly it alot in warthunder, was really good when you flew as a duo.
That side drift in enlisted makes it annoying when you would think it would be at its best (especially since you give up turning for that)
theres a lot of guns with extremely scuffed BR ranks, why is the sniper WW1 carcano BR3? what makes it too good for BR2? jesus
