The only real time bullet velocity is an issue with the Thompsons is when you’re trying to lead targets. However, for most of the time, it feels like a slightly worse AR. And the PPDs are extremely capable SMGs that are unmatched for squad wiping abilities.

Well murrica indeed lacks proper mid-range gun.
Sovjets have the BR3 assault rifle ppsh box.
The Germans have a real the BR2.assault rifle
Event weapon -/- TT weapon.

It could get a slight nerf, but Soviet weaponry needs to be distinctly better.

This is a submachine gun, not an assault rifle. Calling the PPSh an assault rifle is ridiculous.
Yet it functions like assault rifle.

23 dispersion does not make it a SMG. It has less dispersion than the SVT 38

slightly outdated comparison tool but considering these 2 guns not much has changed.
Differency in ttk is nonexistant, at 80m ppsh box is actually slightly faster than stg44.
Obviously, these TTK comparisons can be taken with grain of salt as it doesnt account
dispersion & recoil and various other factors and assumes the 100% accuracy.
But since there is no recoil and dispersion is actually twice less than of stg44.
Ive got no doubt about this.

Mkb really isnt a good gun, the extra rate of fire of STG makes a huge difference in performance, which is why I highly recommend not playing with fire with ideas like:
500 RPM is very bad - 600 RPM is okay again while 700 are very nice.
You see, the lower you go with rate of fire, the more even a tiny bit faster rpm will matter.
AS44 and STG44 are both excellent in BR5 though some might suggest that FG42 and AVT are more useful for being less limited, but MKB? MP40 can have better dps than MKB and that one is rarely viable in BR2 to begin with.
Kiraly is on 90% of the cases the better weapon, MKB will even in BR4 be kinda trashy - tho I have tp admit that super slow rate of fire with low recoil and s 30 rounder magazine makes this gun the perfect gun for … well less invested players.

I’m not a super sweat, and I find the MP 40 a great weapon. I’m not after something that spits 1000 rounds per minute, I’m after something that is easy to control. That way, I can land most of my shots and make the most of the weapon.
I still choose the Grease Gun over the M1A1 Thompson at times for this exact reason.
