Move BACK all bolt action rifle grenade TT weapons to BR2 as they used to be

With the rifle grenade nerf lowering the spam and toxicity of rifle grenade use, most new players no longer get to experience the suffering of insta dying to a rifle grenade spammer. They now require very high skill at range and are of medium power level even in close quarters.

Aka they appear in a good place.

With that in mind serveral rifle grenade launchers have zero use at BR3, since theyre eclipsed by semi auto rifle grenade weapons (m1 carbine rifle grenade) or AT rifle grenade weapons (such as VPGS for example).

As with pre-merge TT, I believe its now fine to once again return the nerfed weapons back to BR2.

Specifically

  • Mossin Nagat rifle grenade
  • M1903 rifle grenade
  • SMLE rifle grenade
  • Kar98k with rifle grenade
  • Type 38 rifle with rifle grenade

They dont appear overpowered at this stage, potentially the SMLE due to its now better sight reload could still remain at BR3; otherwise I think they would help diversify the meta and are no longer oppressive.

Tbh I’d rather unnerf them a bit.

Maybe but its a delicate balancing match, since they can quickly become as bad as they used to be.

This change would help make more weapons be used, as it stands all of the Gl launchers outlined above see zero play at this stage.

I’d rather they be removed altogether.

I’d say keep them at BR3 cause I like the compromise of using a bolt action in order to be able to use the rifle grenade.

I do think they need to be reworked, potentially unnerfing them and reducing the grenade count to 1 instead of 3, or maybe 2 if we’re feeling generous

I agree Just Nerf grenade relading time and return its old damage value.

The HE Variant Goes to BR2 and The AT Variant remains BR3

Sure one way to do it,

I mostly would like to see more weapons see play, and HE grenade launchers have zero reason to be used.

If devs want to for example slightly buff its HE but say lower number of rifle grenades from 3 to 2 there are many ways to go about it.

Not exactly fan of increasing HE spam in anyform at low BR.

But if they get something like solothurn treatment that you are required to stay still while firing or something, i guess it could work but still rather not.

Most rifle grenades used in the war were time fused grenades and standard was definitely time fuse, the only exception are Soviets since Mosins only had impact grenades and didnt needed a special blank to fire, sadly devs just copied Mosin mechanic to all rifle grenades.

In my opinion we could have BR2 rifle grenades if they fired time fused grenades that can be thrown back just like normal grenades, while AT rifle grenades would stay the same on BR3.

Soviets:
Mannlicher 43M rifle with “Tromblon” Hungarian grenade launcher (time fused) added to BR2.
All Mosin GLs (no known time fused grenade) stay BR3.

Japan:
Type 38 with Type 100 GL (time fused) moved to BR2.
Type 99 with Type 2 GL (AT) stays BR3.

US and Britain:
M1903 with grenade launcher, SMLE Mk III with Cup GL (both are time fused) moved to BR2.
M1 Carbine with M8 GL stays BR3.

Germany and Italy:
Kar98k with grenade launcher (time fused) moved to BR2.
Kar98k with GGP40 (AT) stays BR3.

note on Soviets getting Hungarian 43M rifle with “Tromblon”, Soviets have no suitable domestic grenade launcher rifle (not one I know about anyway) but they did capture Hungarian rifles, if Hungary ever gets added as a subfaction they can still get the 35M with Tromblon since both can accept Tromblon GLs.

In 1943 Hungary bought the licence of the German Gewehrgranatengerät 42 and started producing it. While Germans called it “Schiessbecher” the Hungarians called it “Tromblon”.

(I cant upload a picture of it now, because server hamster is acting up, here is a link instead)

Actually Germany had impact fuzes with additional time fuze in case the former wouldn’t work. Also time fuze allowed to use this explosive as a hand grenade. Now compare this to US who had standard hand grenade glued to a rod. Glorious German overengineering!

Germans used both impact and time fuse rifle grenades.
You dont even have to dig far for them since the German wikipedia of SchieĂźbecher mentions it among available grenades.

I want all explosive grenade launchers to stay at br3 but I want to see some smoke grenade launchers at br2 (and I want bots to actually have their vision obscured by smoke of all types e.g: smoke from destroyed tanks, smoke barrages and smoke grenades)

The way people use them spamming grenades, I’d say they should stay BR3

With ±1 br that would mean rifle grenades in br1 or br no rifle grenades

I got my info from this guy: https://youtu.be/daBwCMgOpu0
Seems to be quite reliable, more than wikipedia any way.

indeed very reliable source, but he only showed 2 of the 16 different rifle grenades.

Seems fair, add inserting blank round animation to the chamber as well instead of super lazy normal reload slowed to hell
