Move all 5-6 shot bolt/manual-action rifles to BR 1

This excludes the grenadier versions of the rifle, but includes scoped sniper variants.

We can save BR 2 BA rifles to higher-capacity BA rifles that are more competitive against SA rifles.

We already have several high (and pathetically low) RoF BA rifles with 5 shots in both BR 1 and 2.

This is for consistency’s sake.

the main reason why some 5 rounds bolties are on br 2 is the because the rof…

i mean bro try to use use a fully upgrated winchester1895 with boltie speed perk…im pretty sure that not even semiautos are so cracked

but yea… other guns like the prewar kar98k… need a br correction since is literally a kar98 but a liltle bit faster (but still behind guns like the mannlicher)

Lets just abolish BR2 then :man_shrugging: since BR2 BA rifles are definitely not worse than BR2 semi rifles.

And all of them could easily be BR1 :man_shrugging:

Some 5 shot rifles deserve br 2 because high rate of fire. Mannlicher and winchester for an example

Actually on this context it makes sense. All bolt action rifles should be BR I with low capacity/high damage or high capacity/low damage semis filling the BR 2 tree as direct upgrade from bolt actions.

There are a couple of BR2 bolties that deserve to move down a BR for sure, but Mannlicher, Lee Enfield, VG2 and Winchester deserve their spot in BR2 without a question.

It should be put at br 2 and type 99s to br 1.

which is funny, its the best Japanese bolt action and BR1 - while all the other worse versions are BR2

No scope +1 br don’t like don’t use

wdym

The idea is that regular and scoped variants get put in BR 1.

Completely disagree. Lots of bolties and weak semi’s make for interesting choice

Maybe some could be moved down, some could maybe be moved up idk. But this is a bad idea i am sorry to say

if you want it for cosmetics ok
you have the same reload and rate of fire and a mag view
no second primary slot if sniper ba are at br1 having a regular ba to go with you’re sba would eliminate all weak point a pistol is enough
so as long as no sniper rifles can use stripper clips eliminating the ability to carry two rifles should be enough to lower them to br1
or loose the ability to carry regular rifles as two sniper rifles would not overcome the close-range draw backs of the sniper class

unless that is the reason why you want to moved sba to br1 one carry a sba and ba thus creating a noob clubber

  1. The average time to rack the bolt of manual-action rifles is about ~60rpm.
  2. The fastest-firing TT BA/Manual-action rifle is tied with upgraded Mannlicher and the Winchester 1895 rifles at 76 RPM.

  1. 60 RPM = 1.00s between shots at the fastest
  2. 76 RPM = 0.79s between shots at the fastest

Let’s apply the RoF perk at its strongest to the same list. A 12.5% rate of fire buff.

  1. 0.875s between shots at the fastest
  2. 0.69s between shots at the fastest

This, most importantly, excludes the time the user needs to aim between shots.

Aiming down the sights will not allow you to fire as fast as the soldier can rack the bolt.

Rate of fire can only be exploited when hipfiring.

This effectively means that rate of fire on a bolt-action rifle can only be exploited at close range where one can forgo the use of sights, which puts the user at risk of fighting someone with an automatic weapon which, by comparison, is far more forgiving to use.

While the biggest difference between 5-shot BA rifles are their sights and rate of fire, the latter can only be exploited in ungabunga range. It is a fringe benefit that doesn’t warrant a separation of BRs in an already super-compressed BR system.

The one literal outlier rifle that makes every other BA rifle look gold-plated is an unupgraded Mosin 1907 with a miserable 42 RPM. Every other BA rifle hovers at an average of 60 RPM, including whatever the player choose to replace that piece of shit.
