I suggest adding an option to enable auto-mounting of weapons.
The mount-feature is a nice addition, but having to press the mount-key every time you move an inch is tedious. Adding a auto-mount feature would help in that regard and be a quality-of-life improvement.
I believe that many playrs would like such a feature.

Firstly they have to fix the issue of limited turning range of mounted weapons as it is pathetic. Sometimes it’s like +/- 15 degrees both sides.
Also problem is that mounting lifts up weapons. So it may result in your head popping up from the grass because you auto-mounted accidentally.
If bipods get fixed and you find a solution to lifting problem, it may be an option to toggle in the settings (some players don’t like it if I remember correctly).
But bipods is a absolute must-have for machine-guns. Even if you lay down the vertical recoil is insane.
I know, but first they have to fix it, then we can improve it. Otherweise it will be good on paper but unusable in practise.
Ideally It’d be similar to the bipod mechanic in BF1. There it worked really well BUT the feature was only enabled when using machine guns.
But there is no lifting in BF1, that’s the problem. And funny enough, it’s sometimes useful feature.
Also I don’t like idea of taking away option to mount for other weapons, it’s not super useful but it may be caused by buggy mechanic of mounting (I understand that you want to remove it except for MGs and AT rifles).

Also as you like always have mounted weapon just bind it at the same button as zoom
I did assign it to “E”. But still I think the feature itself needs some reworking.
