Which Rifles do you Guys use?
Mosin Dragoon / Mosin Rifle or Mosin Carbine?
Mosin Carbine is just a mix between Dragoon & Rifle or?
And is the Dragoon one for Short Range? Because the Info says something about Cavalry.
So the Mosin RIfle is for Medium Range?
Because want equip my Infantry Units with a Rifle and dont know which one to chose from this 3.
The Dragoon was intended for cavalry, so it has a shorter barrel to make it easier to use on a horse.
Generally, carbines/dragoons have less damage at long range but a faster rate of fire. It’s your choice which you prefer, but I’m keen on the higher rate of fire.
Hate the Dragoon due to the sights, same with the 1907 carbine. I primarily use 1938 carbine and M91/30 rifle

So the Dragoons&Carbines ( 1938 ) are like the same? Or is one of them a older Version so a not so good Choice?
I will go for faster rate of fire then.
Because think that this will be more useful for Assaults / when i rush Capture Zones.
Monke: True. The Dragoon Sight is not the best. But for me its ok.
Just need a good Weapon to be able to kill Enemies in Zones.
And for me are only this 3 Weapons avaible.
The Dragoon is essentially an upgraded regular Mosin full length rifle, with a higher rate of fire. It’s the best option out of the three, if you don’t mind the sights.

Dragoon is my favourite. I actually prefer the open sights. But the other choices are pretty good, too and I’m using them all at the moment, since I’m not swimming in weapon orders.
I like the regular mosin (m91/30) alot. It packs a lot of punch at 15 damage stock, is accurate and has a decent fire rate. The carbine works well… but it only has 13 stock damage, wich is lackluster even if it has a better rate of fire (a good bolt action needs only one shot)
As our peers said, the dragoon feels a bit like an upgrade, so it’s good too.
But!
The best is the winchester. Because it transforms your soldier into a cowboy. A RUSSIAN cowboy. Doesn’t get better than that!

The Rifle doesn’t have “added length” - everything else is shortened.
There had always been shorter firearms for various uses - carbines were a cavalry reapon that sacrificed quite a lot of firepower for ease of use from horseback in the muzzle-loading days. (and actually cavalry did fire in ranks - really badly… there’s an infamous case in 1812 where dsome French cavalry tried to repulse a charge by massed carbine fire - it failed…)
In the 1900’s most nations figured out that he long rifles they were using didn’t really give much advantage - as you’ve said - so you get shorter version - the SMLE - SHORT Magazine Lee Enfield - is arguably the most famous - it was intermediate between the full length Magazine Lee-Enfield and hte cavalry carbine.
The MLE had a 30" barrel, the carbine version a 21" barrel - the SMLE had a 25" barrel - roughly half way betwen the 2 - it was handy enough to be carried on horseback, and long enough to not give up much hitting power from the shorter barrel.
The Mosin Dragoon is in the same mold - Dragoons being supposedly mounted infantry it was required to be long enough to have infantry range ability, but short enough to be easily carried on horseback - it was about 2.5" inches shorter than the M1981 - the same barrel length as the later 91/30.
In the game it is a little better than the full rifle, and more powerful than the carbine - as has been noted by others, so if you’re still on bolt actions then it is better than all the alternatives. (ETA - oh yes - except the 1895 Winchester as noted below - which is great!)
Use Mosin Nagan 91/30 or Dragoon for damage, and use Mosin Nagan 1938 for shooting speed. Don’t use 1907, which is waste, the weakest bolt-action rifle in the game. But if you like to use manual rifles, try to unlock Winchester 1895, which is the strongest manual rifle in the game

And about the Winchester. Its not avaible for me. My Level is to low for that.
But maybe i will switch to it in the next Weeks or Months. When i unlock it.
