Moscow 109E7U2 or 109F2

Pilots, which if these is better for Moscow campaign as I can’t seem to avoid compression in F2, most times I am going to fast and need to pull up

Bf109E7 has 20mm cannons, F2 100 only 15mm

What are the pros and cons of each please, any tips for flying f2 welcomed!

Put it this way id rather fly the JU188 then a FW or 109 lol your probly better off in this

Ah, Moscow. Where pilots can really test themselves out without too many bombs.

Both of those premiums are interesting choices.

  • The E7, having dual 20mm is better at damaging enemy planes than the F2. It also has twice as much 7.92… it’s a weak round, but you need as much as you can when facing bigger planes such as the very common IL.

  • However… In a dog fight, I’d chose the F2, without hesitation. it’s faster than the E7, and while both are nimble, the Soviet fighters will ALWAYS outmaneuver you… But not necessarily outrun you. The F2 is great as a zoom and boom fighter, mainly used to duel Soviet fighters, or surgically take out Il engines.

As for ground support, both are just as good with 4x 50kg bomblets.

Note: The regular F1 is a perfect in between of those two… and it’s free. Even faster than the F2, but less nimble, and surprisingly lower climb speed… yet better (slightly) firepower.

Thank you for comments, I want to like the f2 but I keep crashing into ground, it is very easy for compression to kick in, controls lock and I can’t pull up.

Not sure if it a bug with F2? The 109e7 it happens much less, as it is 100kmh slower, less acceleration, guns are better too with 20mm.

If I throttle down in F2 to 60-70, or have reduced speed to combat flaps, it is better, but as you said F2 faster, but at a cost, the guns don’t bother me, they are nose centered so I can kill just as well…

Speed on F2 Prem is same as F1 well according to stats

I prefer the F2 because it got more ammo (60shell of 20mm is not enough to kill a IL2 with certainty).

And going fast is more of an advantage in Moscow, because you will never win a dog fight against a Chaika (I-153). You have to boom and zoom (or a least head on) and save your energy to reattack few moment later.

The only real advantage of the E7 are the bombs.

I have premium f2 that has bombs, what throttle speed are you? If I use WEP, on a dive it bye bye F2!

Do you keep speed low if at any sort of decline? Wep for climbing and cathing up fine, love the extra speed, but not ground strafing, I have to pull up much earlier than if in E7 (Prem)

Oh yea I’ve confuse the Bf109 F1 with the premium Bf109 E7. Sorry.

I don’t know how the E7 fly. I just know I prefer the F2 with 15mm gun over the F1 win 20mm gun.

I don’t have so much speed problem, but like every Bf109 if you high speed dive with flaps, they broke very easely.
Max throttle is fine.

Do you use the pilot perk that reduce blackout time? Really a life saver for sharp maneuvers.

But if not, there’s another way to use your plane’s advantage, even if you black out:

  • The climb speed of ANY of the messers is stellar. Fly, and dogfight, high! Doesn’t matter if you black out while being at 800m, your pilot will come back to his senses waaaay before meeting the ground. Also, Soviet planes don’t climb as well (still good, just not AS good) so you csn use that against them if they tail you.

Which they will if you missed your first “zoom”. Since Soviet planes are more nimble, what you have left to shake them is speed, and climb speed. They will try to follow you up, meaning they will lose more speed than you will, thus giving you some breathing room to shake them, and come charging back.

Yes all perks maxed, enemy detection range, endured neg overloads, angle of focus and stamina Regen X2, only 6 points on mobility and cannot increase, premi limitation.

It’s not blacking out, it’s controls stiffening as going 450-500 and then can’t pull up, that is the problem, the E7 can dive and recover much easier.

Seems like I spawn in at 450, and if I go into dive, I will not be able to pull up, I did read F’s are heavier than E’s. With bomb loads I have to drop alot higher than in my E7, to avoid crashing.

Flaps rip very easily on the F2, I have to fly at 60-70 throttle in a dive and skim the trees on an attack run.
