so when come get in to a Mortar Squad you have to make a good position hidden from the enemy

and Setting Up a Mortars with Ammo Crates can depend on the player on how fast they build and Set-Up and Fire

so the Engineer’s Resources Can Hold by Default 20.0 Points and the Requires 9 Vitality for the 40+% of Resources Available for Building.
The Vitality Upgrade increased the Default by 28.0 Points

Engineer’s Resources are 20.0/28.0 Points

And an Extra For 50+% Building Speed
Ammo Crate each is 4.0 Points to Use from Available
And Dismantle is 2.0 back to Available

The Limit for How many Ammo Crate when Build is 3

If Dismantling and Rebuilding Ammo Crate from the Available Resources can go up to 10 by Default
if Vitality Upgrade its 14

It Take 5 Seconds to Build a Single Ammo Crate
or 2.5 Seconds with 50+% Building Speed

Now we get the Mortar’s Fire

When the Mortar shoot the mortar bombs it take 10Seconds to Land and Blow-Up
with Every Bomb is 1 Sec to reload.
the Max Ammo Capacity for a Soldier with the Mortar is 10 Ammo 1/9
with the Ammo Crate it can refill Mortar ammo by 10 more with one Ammo Crate.
that 20seconds of Mortar Bombs or Rain as I like to call it.

Now get in by How Effective from Before and After The Nerf

so the Simple Mortar Repeat Process in Easy Lines

Build Ammo Crate(s) 2.5-20Seconds Because Positioning
Mortar’s Prep Time is 10Seconds
Mortar’s Rain is 10-40Seconds
Press X to Dismantle Ammo Crate(s) it Resources from AC get Half Back. is -5Seconds or more
Repeat step 1
And (Optional) Radio Operator for Artillery Strike During step 1 if Available

This is for the Current State of Mortars.

So all of This in Total Time is

20+(10Bx9AC) is 1Minute and 50Seconds
or If Upgrade on Soldier. (40+% of Resources Available for Building.)
20+(10Bx13AC) is 2Minutes and 30Seconds

But needs be Consistent in Player Speed.

Now Before

Its 110seconds with Staring Ammo
and 100seconds when Refill Ammo

and Refill for all Types of Weapons at 10 when Refilled

so in Total Time Before its.

110+(100x9) = 16Minutes and 50Seconds
110+(100x13) = 23Minutes and 30Seconds

That’s Better than Planes and Tanks Combined

One of the Most Overpowered Weapon(s) in the Game Before.

I’m not certain to understand what you mean here… Do you mean mortars got too nerfed? They seem just perfect to me at the moment, I can help move my team ahead in a cap zone with the 20 shells provided (from the 2 guys) without the need to seek more (then I storm the cap aswell, good thing bringing such a big device on their backs doesn’t seem to slow them down)

Beside the numbers (I commend you on your post, those numbers are very well researched) what changed and isn’t mentioned is the STYLE of play to adopt as a mortar team: Before, and your numbers confirm this, was merely a constant spam in a stationary position, the whole match. Pretty braindead.
Now however, mortar teams need to think a bit more about how to use their ordinance: lob 2-3 shells, WAIT, see effect, correct, lob some more, watch at your team progression near the cap, then join them once you cleared out most of the opponents. It works WONDERS for me, I’d even say again they are perfect this way, once you adapt to it’s new (and more accurate) play style.

Now, hang on. Are you saying there are other play strategies, other than “oogabooga, run at a tank, it’ll run out of ammo eventually” and “sit here, don’t move, call arty, touch pepe when cooldown”?
That’s blasphemous. Never say that again. Never.

They made Mortar useless now, you get only 1 reload of it with whole crate… 2 ,3 refils from crate would have been just fine tho…

And you have forgot the most important thing !!

Setting the mortar to fire is still bugged as hell !!.. How many times have you set mortar and range only to be reseted sometimes even before firing a single shot ! and you have to set it again and scroll range … thats great way to nerf mortars… so Gajin uses bugs to nerf things aswell !!

You want to cross river to flank enemy or just go to obj… game says nope cant get out of water…
You want to get in the house over window or climb ladder… game also says nope !
You want to play the Tank , how about not being able to move at all getting stuck on wrecks and objects…
These things get fixed to certain degree tho but still happen !

you have to wait for 10 or more seconds to get the Mortar(s) work like it properly. if it can.

also make me think why can’t I tell my AI Engineer to Refill the Ammo Crate(s) so I can Refill My Mortar Bombs.

Isn’t Mortars supposed to shoot a consistent flow of rain fire until they’re out

I mean if I’m rebuilding AC(s) letting enemies get an open gap every few seconds from rebuilding.

And that bug is old as the game… wonder why they havent fixed it… Bugs as part of game mechanic and to nerf things lol !!

Even with engenier squad when you press x that other engenier builds its bugged or takes forever for him to join construction !

Yea construction of rally points esp feels like forever too and sad you cant order solder and switch to anather one… this way you can bang your head on the wall how much boring it is !
(maybe its way to nerf engeniers so there is plenty of time you can get shoot in face while building rally point)

Atleast you can order soldiers to dismantle ammo boxes , what was before more offen a problem rather than feature !
