Mortar pause at beginning of game

I have had several squad members killed or the entire squad killed as soon as I loaded into a game! When I load in with a radioman, there is a slight delay before I can fire. Please add a delay to the mortar crews as well. The spawn points are well known and it is a completely unfair game-ism. The pause need only be for the very beginning of the game. Thank you!

Slight delay for radio? What 5 seconds? Radios are spammed at the start of every battle and need a large nerf just like mortars

The pause for Artillery on your first spawn is normally 10 seconds but if you have the 8x faster cooldown you get it within a second and a half of spawning.

Well, then that needs an initial pause too. At least let people get in the game before getting killed! Thanks, I didn’t know that.

I don’t think mortars or artillery should get nerfed, they were, actually, the main reason for combat losses in real life during both World Wars.
But then, it would be great to have mortar shells fired within 10 meters of the spawn points (the fixed ones, not the engineer-made ones) cancelled, because spawnkilling is, and has always been, a garbage tool used by garbage players.

Yes, add arty delay, but only at match start, just like planes. Maybe 30-40 seconds.

But I agree, don’t nerf arty. Or only small, minor nerf. It is fun right now, but overly spammy, maybe. So lower the timer, but increase arty intensity and/or radius?
