Today I had rather unpleasnet mach. Some retard thought, that best he can do in battle was making my engenires useless for team. Whole mach he was standing in front of my maxim guns to make me unable to shoot. He was also destroying all my foryfications (including f maxims). For the record I wasnt camping. I was exacly on objective, defending it. So he had no reason at all. Only retardness. As a matter of fact, he did nothing during battle. Just makeing my life misruable. Sad is that I couldnt even report or kick him off from battle becouse there isnt name of player over his bots. For what I know at least.
I lost ton of xp becouse of him. How is that fair?
There are simple solutions for that. Make names on battlefield visuable when needed. Machineguns should shoot throu teammates standing too close to it. Fortifications builded by your teammates should be undestructable for you. Especially guns. That should fix that problem once for all.
Good idea Guys?
To this retard who was doing it to me, if you ever read it.
I SPIT ON YOU, YOU PIECE OF HUMAN SHIT
that shit is actually quite hard do resolve , making fortifs undamagable would be bad , but shooting through friend team when too near doesnt sound that bad , or maybe insta killing them (which would be bit more realistic) but the friendly player or NPC would have to be Like REAAALLY close)
Never had someone purposely block the fire zone of my MG before but sounds pretty annoying.
The only time I’ve ever purposely broken a teammates builds is if they put a bunch of barbwire in doorway or something.
There really is no good solution. Making all teammate builds indestructible to you could be bad since some people don’t think and build things in such a way that they are self sabotaging. I agree you should be able to see where all your teammates are located on the map so you know who is doing what (like have all the player markers color coded to coincide with a specific player) but at the end of the day the report function is just there for show. It doesn’t actually do anything. And people will just use MGs to team kill if you allow them to kill friendlies, even if it only works at close range.
I met one of these guys myself a couple weeks ago. I set up a whole fortified spawn near the objective, then went to the objective and fortified that. Next thing I know, the idiot is behind me deconstructing the barricade I’m standing behind. After that, he just went and stood in front of me because he had deconstructed everything I built.
At first I was angry, then I just ignored him and he went off to troll elsewhere. At the end of the game, I reported him for Unsporting Behavior. Can’t recall if I got it to show his name or if I just group reported the bottom 5 players on my team and let the devs sort it out.
And in case anyone feels upset about potentially reporting the wrong person, there’s been little to no responsiveness in reporting systems for years in my experience. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even feel bad if I accidentally report the wrong person because it’s incredibly unlikely anything will happen. I get angry messages threatening or claiming reports all the time from people who are just bad and think anyone better than them are cheating, but I’ve never had anything happen because I’m just an average player. In all likeliness, nothing will happen even if they’re blatantly trolling or exploiting bugs, and in the off chance that the devs do take action and look into it, then they’ll figure it out.
Never, NEVER, build inside the objective, NEVER, sandbags on entrances and windows serve as cover to approaching enemies, with the buff to the sandbags resistance a single SMG or flamethrower can clean an entire objective using your sandbag as cover.
If you want to block a door or window use a AP mine, also, sandbags on windows and doors can kill partially your team capability of harassing the enemy and quickly retreating to cover.
Don’t know if the guy was really trolling, but please, be mindful when building “fortified” rally points that someone need to jump 2 sandbags and 1 barbed wire to finally get out of it and inside objectives only ammo crates, czeckhogs, sandbags and barbed wire you pretend that don’t even exist.
When I say fortified, I don’t mean random shit everywhere. I mean ammo crates and maybe a sandbag or two in choice spots. In this case, it was one of the buildings with a large double door directly facing a clear field in front of the enemy spawn zone. I put an ammo crate in each corner and a sandbag wall in the big doorway facing the enemy where I was standing to defend. I also put one sandbag wall on the side of the building as an extra firing point if someone didn’t want to be in the building.
As for the spawn point, I put my point in a building with an ammo crate and one sandbag wall covering the crossing between the buildings from the second enemy spawn zone.
This guy literally decontructed the ammo crate behind me, the wall in front of me, the second ammo crate while I was watching, then proceeded to stand in front of me meleeing. Definitely a full troll.
Like you said, definitely a troll, but I would still advice against the sandbag you built, just pretend it isn’t buildable, they just take mobility away from you team and give the enemy some cover to clean the objective from.
I find them plenty useful when used right, so we’ll have to agree to disagree on their usefulness.
And even if someone decides that my placement of a contruction is not to their taste, if someone is using it then they should leave it alone. Engineers get points from their constructions being “used”, so destroying them because you don’t like them being placed is petty at best if it isn’t actively in your way.
Well, playing destruction mode other day saw a guy and his squad be killed one by one by a German behind his own sandbag, luckily I was out of the way so I could let the engineer be punished by his bad choices, after that I could kill the German and get rid of the sandbag myself.
But usually when you just leave that there you end up paying for some engineers dumbness while you try to defend the objective.
Personally when attacking I love when a kind engineer let me some sandbags where I can safely stay behind while my grenades clean up the objective even better when defenders have to expose themselves coming around a building to kill me while I stay just in front of it with all my teams campers taking a shot at the defenders because some engineer thought it was a good idea to block the front windows of the objective. And even better is placing mines right behind the enemy sandbag once I am defending against counter attacks, they have no way to see the mine there.
But hey, you’re better than they usually are, I’ve seen people “spam” barbed wire, czeckhogs and sandbags and not build a single rally point the entire match.
There have been far too many times that I’ve played on teams where like 4 other people have engineer scores yet all I see around is barbwire, oddly placed sandbags, and not a single rally (Other than my own).
I once had some moron blocking my mortar fire.
He just kept moving in front of it, blocking my shots.
First I thought it was just a bot acting weird but then I tried to melee the retard to tell him to get the hell out of the way but then he tried to melee me back and started following me around, so it was no bot.
Just some dumb kid’s idea of fun I guess.
had one moron stood infornt of the barrel of my tank once, couldnt shoot crap and guess what killed me, another tank. In my case he may be trolling but who knows
I’ve actually had this happened to me a few times, but when I was in my tank, I’ve had guys climb in front of it to block the gun site, I’ve had them try to dig holes around my tank, to set explosive charges etc. so it’s not uncommon but I wouldn’t say that it happens often but it does happen
