(not going to look at russians berlin in this post)
now I suggest to add more variety to anti-vehicle squads (Like say a premium squad of faustpatrone 30 to normandy (or non-premium whatever)) and add an AA soldier class which is dedicated to having Anti-Air squads (read to the last because I am aware Handheld AA was not a thing apart from fliegerfaust)
Now also I’d like crewed weapons (basically weapons that need at least 2 ppl to carry), like a version of the AA and AT guns of the engineers but completely mobile to the said AA soldiers or AT soldiers and a version of the MG but belt fed for Machine gunners or better yet stupidly heavy and high-calibre mortars
(Oh and I could go too far as to saying let us choose what artillery model and calibre are we firing from radio ops (Like Ik this would be stupid against infantry but a lot of ppl need it against absurdly armoured tanks like tigers, and it can be balanced easily by lowering barrage duration/amount of ammo being fired and cooldown duration (after all that popgun arty can’t even kill a puma in 90% of cases))
They wouldn’t have to make the Faustpatrone 30 a Premium Squad weapon, they could just add it as a new gadget to the roster
But I will say the more weapons, gadgets, equipment, etc the better
Yeah, Hopefully they will add customisation sistem for weapons instead of this bullshit we have now where we need to buy “special version” of rifle.
I personally think because of the power creep of tanks, we need to start having levels of AT guns VS the one size fits all category.
Let’s take Normandy for example. The Long 50mm (Axis) and US 57mm are good as starter AT guns for early level tanks, but are decidely less effective once late tank unlocks are faced.
So Engineer I should be those and then for Engineer II we should get the later war higher Caliber guns like the PaK 43 ( I think that’s the right number for the 88mm) and the US 90mm.
Further to that I think it would be neat to have small field Artillery guns that give you a psudeo 3rd party view and a CEP circle that you can move and launch shells into.
Beyond that, slightly larger caliber but not usable against Infantry AA guns would be a plus. 37mm for Axis and 40mm Bofors for Allies.
That is what I would like to see.
+1
tho I think Paks spawning with AT gunners are better
What do you mean? Sth like stationary guns in BF1?
I never played BF1 so ill have to look at some video when I get home to see if its a good Analog to what I am talking about.
For the life of me I can’t remember the game but there was one when you used a Field gun (this is going back a decade and a half at least) your view was 3rd person but above showing a dotted line for the arc and red circle that represented the CEP for where the shell would land.
I think it would be neat to do the same in this gamez, including with Mortars because I am certain we will get heavier Mortars as time progresses.
AT troopers need to be Separate from AT guns.
Historically they were spread out among line infantry , where as AT and Field guns were detachments from Divisional Artillery. Two very different things.
Plus having 2 options is better than one squad getting downed and waiting 2 more squads before you can cycle them back in.
Not quite what I was thinking to be honest.
Though could be adaptable in the game, not the animation side of it though.
As for being mortarish. They are both in and of the same principal with different applications.
One lobs , the other projects, but in essence they both arc and we could simplify the way both work in the game to make them more user friendly.
Well, we have pen/drop indicator already so I’d say anything more is unnecesarry.
