Since the merge is gonna come at one point id like to suggest adding nore lightly armored tanks/tankettes/armored cars
It could instead of taking vehicle slot take the bike slot i would personally rename it to lightly armored vehicle slot(not the case with for example ba10 or sdkfz222 im gonna mention)
These “tanks” would only have very light armor or very light armament
Transforming the Raider class into a light vehicle class was something I had been thinking about for some time and would make room for many armored cars that wouldn’t have a place in the tank class
I mean we either slapped an M2 or an M1919 on every vehicle we deemed necessary to have armament. Besides, all the rest of these have their machine guns. What’re you discriminating against Muh Deuce for?
Funny pointed out a similar idea recently when someone suggested the Type 94 tankette.
Completely agree, they would need a separate vehicle slot and I’d add as an additional rule no-AT capable weapons, because otherwise no one would ever want to use the MG only vehicles when they could run something with say a 20mm autocannon in the same slot.
Anyways Japan also had a variety of Armored cars that would be interesting to see if we ever get a campaign in mainland China (doesn’t have to be against the Chinese since we know how publishers hate that idea, could instead be the Soviet Invasion of Manchuria 1945).
