More flexibility to the engineer's submachine gun

The reason no one uses the machine gun that the engineer can build is because it’s useless on any map… You can’t build one in a building window because you can’t aim it down.

Any “good” area for a machine gun has some point that prevents you from doing so.

Historically, both the Germans and the Allies (especially the Germans) placed machine guns everywhere, from roofs, bell ringers (those of the church), windows, etc.

But in this game you hardly see any because it has no use in the areas it should.

not to mention that regular mg’s are inferior to hmg’s even though mg squad can build them sooner.

It’s intended because the devs hate the concept of kill zones or AA guns functioning properly

Machine gun nests are good as they are now.

It is not their property, but rather - player’s knowledge - when and where to build them.

(knowledge of the map)

Knowledge to build HMG instead.

Also I like that MG131 has double dispersion for no reason.

was actually about to point out the engineer squad lmg is more accurated on longer ranges.
Thought it was some sort of universal thing but apparently its only germut buildable lmg’s

nope, they need axis one aime up dow left right better, they aren’t balanced ^^

Which is why no one builds them.

And why should they?

  • You need an Engineer II or Premium squad to build them. Meanwhile, all Gunner squads can make an HMG, if I am not mistaken. And a Premium Gunner can build both.
  • They can’t penetrate light armored vehicles.
  • They deal way less damage.
  • They die way faster.
  • They sometimes have worse angles.
  • They have the same accuracy, excluding the MG131.
  • They sometimes shoot slower or have about the same roof as their counterpart.
  • Overheat at about the same time, excluding M1919/ M2.
So why build one when you can switch to a Gunner and still build rallies?

the japanese MG can aim way, way, way further down than the HMG but eh, nobody really cares for that

i have killed low level tanks with them

Is the M13 a tank though?

turret…check
cannon…check
tracks…check
armor…i think so
result…tank though suffering from being made in Italy and used in WW2

and that’s why people like us who we keep trying make suggestions for improve light and heavy machine guns, but well, here we are still awaiting
