A reporter named Светла́на Алекса́ндровна Алексие́вич interviewed Soviet women soldiers in WW2 and compiled their memoirs in the book “У войны не женское лицо”.
According to the book, at the time of WW2, women were not provided with underwear, and female soldiers used men’s underwear.
Since menstrual products were not provided, they had a hard time because their underwear got dirty easily. One woman had to march with her menstrual blood running down her leg.
Since only one pair of underwear was provided, the bloody underwear eventually hardened, and the hardened blood caused countless abrasions on the thighs, which was extremely painful.
The male soldiers had no choice but to give the women their own underwear, claiming that someone had stolen them.
It is an interesting book and you should read it if you have a chance.
By the way. The book was very popular and was even made into a comics in Japan.

also, i play the soviets so i don’t know what makes you think i would shoot women because only the soviets throughout ww2 had women serving on the front.
