Feels pretty damn useless fortifying a position with sandbag walls because an artillery strike in the area or aircraft attacking nearby just breaks them all instantly.
I think they need to have much higher blast resistance, so they don’t get busted with artillery and explosions from things like explosive charges and rockets need to be accurate hits.
It’s sandbags. Literal bags of sand. Not bunkers made out of alien technology. Have you SEEN what artillery shells do to solid thick concrete bunkers?
Have you seen rockets with very large loads smash into buildings and deleting them from existence? Sandbags in the best case scenario weigh 18kgs, that’s nothing, artillery strikes in the area will evaporate them. Not to mention rockets. ESPECIALLY the rockets the Bf 110 uses on Normandy which are known as Bordrakete 21, which are 21cm rockets configured to be fired from a plane, it’s propelled by Diglycol solid fuel which launches and travels at 1.150km/h, the warhead itself is 40.8kgs. The confirmed lethal blast radius of these things are about 30 meters.
Sandbags will and should just stop existing when these things smash anywhere near them.
