More airborne

Job well done gents I’m loving the airborne class in Normandy I may or may not make it to the Paramarine unit idk however, let’s get airborne units that we can earn via tech tree and whatnot

I’m so happy you finally fixed the fallshrimjager uniform we are now ready for a Crete and market garden campaign

That said keep up the good work I’m looking forward to British paras and hopefully other amazing units like 1st special service force, polish paratroopers and French foreign legion

It is a funny joke that the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions cannot be airborne. I think they should be upgraded from Assault to Airborne.

I would be more careful and say “step in the right direction”.

For example, the uniforms of the premium 16th Luftwaffe Felddivision were also changed, but such a simple thing as the correct color collar tabs was not done. And Splitter smocks are wrong too.

(at least I changed the pants for these dudes so that they fit more compositionally)

Then who is gonna be assaulter squad? We can just add new squad for 101 and 82 airborne division in the future.

I served in the 82nd and it’s border line offensive

But same goes for the various German airborne units

What do you mean?
I don’t understand military terms, so please say it in a way that a layman can understand.

I was in the 82nd which in todays day and age is the most well represented airborne unit. The 101 is now an air assault unit which is a different type of air envelopment warfare.

Thanks for the explanation.
The military term I didn’t understand is “border line offensive”. When I googled it, all I got was psychiatric terminology. I couldn’t figure out what your response to my post was trying to convey.

So, I don’t know how the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions work today, but what I do know is that they are paratroopers like the ones depicted in “Band of Brothers”, and since the game now has paratroopers who can actually parachute, they should be given the opportunity to parachute as well.

If they become airborne, we will be short two assault squads, but, well, we can add something suitable for that.
Similarly, you could add two more paratroopers to Germany that can be obtained from the development tree.

Since the campaign will be abolished in the near future, it might be a good idea to turn 101 and 82 into paratroopers at that time.

Sadly, The 101 do not use parachutes these days they utilize helicopter borne methods of attacks and sling load methods of supply. They wear the airborne tab still but for historical purposes. They do not wear the maroon beret like their other airborne contemporaries. However the 101 retains its status as a highly specialized and capable light infantry air assault unit which in a way still qualifies them on an elite spectrum, relative to traditional ground forces.

The 82nd is still a parachute division along with the newly reactivated 11th airborne and there are some independent Brigades that are also typical light infantry “airborne” units as well as Special Operations units that are also designated as “airborne. “

Rule of thumb: paratroopers today are easiest identified by jumpwings and the maroon beret other than rangers and special forces.

I believe that airborne divisions should be normal infantry. And airborne operations should be separate campaigns with specific mechanics.

I forgot to say…
So you are from the 82nd Airborne Division. That’s great!
I never imagined that I could talk to a real parachutist. It is an honor to speak with you.
What was your scariest moment working as a parachutist? Is the moment of jumping out of an airplane still scary?

Do you know why the hawk face of the 101st Airborne Division looks like it has had a lot of booze on Sunday and is having a bad Monday morning?

I think the 101st Airborne Division is one of the coolest divisions in the US Army (the 82nd is cool too), only this patch is odd.
I thought they should have made this eagle look a little more fearless.
Why does he look so breathless… why…

It’s not as scary as you think but I guess the scariest part is the possibility of injuries I’ve seen quite a few.

The sort of nick name we give the 101 is the chocking chicken idk why it looks like that it’s been that way since WW2
