found a joke picture of the FN-49 as a prewar rifle, found this article but cant find any information on early FN Herstal prototype rifles.

Well they I don’t know much about 1914 but there is 50 copies of called SLEM-1 that are on sale even in action houses :

I think they’re just saying that there are 50 known examples of SLEM-1s that the gun shown is one of them in total as opposed to the collection having that much. Still, I wasn’t aware that they made that many SLEM-1s.

Well they where 50 in total the collection has only 1 :smiley: There is even version with grenade launcher
