[MOD] SOUNDS OF WAR - a comprehensive sound overhaul (beta release)

You would need to check the sound for Koko Rifle (koko_rifle_gun) and the Solothurn S18/100 (solothurn_s_18_100)
I believe these 2 guns have new sounds

reworked stg sounds again and added solothurn sounds

oh yes, i would also like to mention that all of my mods are open for the community to modify and redistribute as long as they are generous enough to credit me for the original work

if i ever stop updating this mod for any reason, then anybody is welcome to pick up the work

May that day never come

I personally dont use your sound mod, but i find it very cool nonetheless. It is a project i respect and it shall be cherished by everyone

I plan to support my mods as long as I play enlisted. But I realize that real life events can sometimes appear suddenly, so I want to offer everybody the ability to continue and improve upon my ideas

Well, I don’t know if EVERYBODY cherishes it, I do think bigote’s sound mod is more popular overall, but I will happily continue my work

Videogame modding has always been an important concept to me, so I wholeheartedly encourage anybody to use my mod as base for their own ideas and ambitions

Your sounds are more consistent and coherent. Bigote’s sounds are more all over the place. Some of the sounds there are incredibly sharp, while others are very muffled. Making me to have uncanny valley feeling.

So, I’ve used bigote’s sounds as a base (for vehicle sounds mostly), and then overwrote most of them for the sake of the weapon sounds by your mod.

That’s probably what works best for me.

I appreciate your feedback a lot. It certainly helps motivate me to continue maintaining the mod

Good evening, are there any plans to modify the sounds of tanks or more like its overall both the sound of fire and its engine? I`m just genuinely curious as this mod is underrated and much more preferable to use than bigote sound mod

Unfortunately I do not intend to change vehicle engine sounds or any cannon sounds. The reason is I don’t have any suitable sound libraries to work with. However, you are free to install the vehicle bank files from another mod, such as Bigote’s mod, and use it alongside my weapon sounds if you would prefer

Hi! Still waiting for the update! Your mod is the best and helps you not to be sad when the game gets boring!

oops i didnt even realize they added new sounds for the type 22, gewehr 1888, and mas-36 so i guess i’ll be updating

i really like the new sounds for the gewehr 1888 so i also put em on the gerat 03 since i wasnt a fan of the sounds i did for them before

im also just thinking about not even changing the type 22 rifle sounds from vanilla since they actually sound kinda nice? I feel like anything I would do to it would probably be a downgrade

ngl i still cant get over how much i like the g1888 sound i did, somewhat tempted to just port it over all of the regular kar98s

I have to point out: The sound somehow only work for 1st person view - for others its just the old Kar98k sound. This is the same for Murata and Mas-36, they both have Mosin sound mapped as their third person sound
