The MKb-42(G) was the Gustloff company’s submission for the Machinen-Karabiner program. The Mauser and Walter designs were revolutionary assault rifles while the Gustloff was an automatic rifle. The Gustloff failed because of how uncontrollable automatic fire with a rifle round as compared to the revolutionary intermediary cartridges. The MKb-42 had two variants, the model 206 was semi-auto only and the 208 was select fire.
It was designed to use MG 13 magazines so I assume the 206 uses the cut down 10 round magazine, while the main automatic would use the standard 25 magazine
These weapons could be added. Both variants could be added as research tree, premium/ event squads, gold order, or event prizes.
Four would be not enough since Americans at least have good enough M1 Garand and M1 Carbine while Germany only has total crap borderline unusable G41 and mediocre VG 1-5 we have not a single good mid range rifle that could be reloaded fast, Soviets can have SVT-38, America has M1 Garand so why we can’t have G43 at BR3? Or something new. G41 should be at BR2 it’s that awful.
Anyway also I suggested they change the name the model in files is prewar model which used DWM ammo so I suggested that maybe they should change it to MKB 42(M) early or MKB 42(M)(DWM)
since there was a 1942 trial version which was trialed with MKB 42(H) and that variant was chambered for Polte ammo(8mm kurz is Polte ammo and DWM is 7.39mm ) anyhow also there is a thompson in files that is tagged as Japanese
I dont know but there was apparently in menu_poses_for_weapons.json (Not editor)SKS-30 and liu rifle which makes me think these are event weapons who knows
(SKS-30 is 10 round sks that is loaded from under the gun , magazine cover is opened the pack(Like garand pack but hold 10 round) is unloaded then new pack is inserted)

getting an automatic (pseudo) version could harm it.
such guns were introduced in different times across different campaigns though.
but i sort of get the message.
again, not opposed.
but i can see why it may not be implemented to begin with.
if anything, i’d be happy to have it as go.
( but then again, i don’t care about gold order weapons unless they actually existed with extended mags or volkssturm equipment… or some wacky thing like the dual mag thompson so … )
