Yeah, that can be applied for every wooden part, by giving player to choose between dark, medium and light wood.
Jeez, while CoD can sell its zoomer bight stoopid pink cacophony, Enlisted could provide you 50 shades of wood XD
It’s you talking about the variety of minor gun variants. And literally in the very article to which you refer, the PPS-42 is presented with safety lever same as in-game variant.
This is a distinctive feature of the early PPS-42 and not all of them had exactly such a lever, but this is not a mistake.
It always degenerate this way in most games, doesn’t it? R6s was okayish at first, then they added “charms”, then ugly paints… and so forth.
I liked the H&G customization (before tlm) thought. Always chose Oak or dark walnut stocks for my rifles, because I wanted to feel like a sir that has too much credits. Which explained the ivory cross luggerS (had more than one…), or the camouflage paint job on my… pz1 tankette, both worth at least 10 times the base item…
Oops, I think I need some sleep at this moment)
Can you just pass devs the idea, that minor gun variants (different woods, stamped/milled parts, charging handles, safeties, stocks) as skins would be nice customization solution?
As far as i know, an idea of “historical” customization with different kinds of bluing, worn marks and wood colour is not new and has been discussed by devs for some time. One of the steps were implementation of sniper rifles wrapped in cloth bandages, which were given for Twitch Drops. But it is still difficult to say when and what the next step will be.
And for small parts that differed from gun to gun… I don’t think it will be implemented in the foreseeable future. It’s like with the interiors of tanks - it’s quite difficult and the big question of expediency arises.
